Heroclix: Unleashed

Unleashed is the name of the next DC set, scheduled to come out in March, and includes a ton of characters (and versions of existing characters) from the Kingdom Come storyline. In fact, a recent spoiler revealed that Kingdom Come is actually one of two new team affiliations. There are also four new powers, but what they are is anybody's guess. Let the wild speculation commence.

Thats the coolest thing ever. At Mighty he has 51 clicks of health, speed of 20, and a defense of 21. But thats for 1800 points. So I'm sure you can make a force big enough to do something to him. But watch out, outwit doesn't work on this paltry member. "One of his four dials serves as a timer, which counts down the rounds until Galactus devours their world." That is just freaking cool.

The team abilities are cool, and Quake sounds awesome, but I'm not sure about Exploit Weakness. It's just Psychic Blast in a different slot. Maybe one can only be used at range, and the other in melee. It doesn't say.

The new Marvel set has been announced, and sill apparently follow the Ultimates line of comics--I deduce this from the fact that the set is called "Ultimates." I was pretty underwhelmed with some of the Ultimate storylines, unfortunately, especially the Ultimate Avengers, but Spiderman nd the X-Men were cool, plus the set will give us Punisher, Ghost Rider, and a new Captain America, so I'm still excited.
And there's going to be, as with DC Unleashed, new team abilities (and probably the new powers from unleashed). Huzzah.

The full spoiler for Unleashed came out today, and in addition to some cool characters like Hal Jordan and the Scarecrow, it has Kilowog! I was already planning to buy plenty of boosters, but Kilowog seriously strengthens my resolve.

Anyone who makes a big cool Kilowog model deserves a loyal fanbase (corporate whorebase?).

One of my boxes had a mislabeled figure--the model and base were for Chameleon, but the stat dial inside was for Big Barda. I was hoping I'd win some kind of prize, but all they do is replace the fig in 4 to 5 weeks.

By the way, I ended up with a cool veteran Green Lantern but no Kilowog. If anyone has one that they'd like to trade for one of my uniques, just let me know.
