yeah, just we needed. one MORE step away from a real time strategy. changing it to a video game RPG wasn't enough. Turning that into a tabletop rpg wasn't enough. I'll bet a ccg isn't enough either. I'll bet they'll have regular trading cards or pogs next.

I'm holding out for the Warcraft "How to Host a Murder." Or "How to Host an Epic Raid," or something.

Well you can't blame someone for wanting to get into such a popular franchise.  But my problem with all this WoW stuff is who wants to spend 4+ hours a day playing the VG then go play an RPG of the same thing or any other game?

E, you left out the fact that they have a boardgame, too.

Yes you can.

I'm blaming you.

That's right, Sprig, you've been blamed.

I second that. I say we get rid of Spriggan, maybe in a ditch somewhere, and then we'll have a lot less media licensing to deal with.

This whole story would make a great role-playing--wait! It's happening again! I knew we hadn't gotten rid of him for good!

TWG: the role playing game. The game where you sit around on your butt and do the exact same things you do anyway: Pretend to be a guy who pretends to like pretending to be someone else.

I'm waiting for Tycho's newspost to see if the line about the rare cards giveing people benifits in the MMO is true or not.

Sadly, Sprig, it looks like it is indeed true: http://www.gamingreport.com/article.php?sid=18271

Well that's  a good marketing gimic, even if the game sucks like nothing else the first set is going to sell realy well due to those foil cards.

Just another reason I'm glad I don't play WoW anymore, I can just imagine the conversations on my server:

"Lvl 60 rogue LFG"

"What you don't have the new pet from the CCG? OMG Newb!"

"I don't like CCGs"

"We only group with people who are skilled players, you don't buy the CCG so you much suck!"

Ah the joys of WoW, it's like junior high Gym class but you have to pay a monthly fee for it.
