Ys comming to PS2

The greatest RPG ever made Ys book 1&2 is being released on the PS2 in Japan later this year.  Hopefuly if we're lucky they'll release it here in the states.  I'd buy a Japanese PS2 just for this game, but I hope it dosen't come to that.

Are they being reworked at all, like the original Final Fantasy games being re-released for PS1?

They were reworked about 5 years ago for the PC in Japan.  This is just a Port of the PC version.  Basicaly all the backgrouds were pre-renedered so where the characters.  The music was remixed, I beleave you have the remix Tage.  but everything else stayed the same.
