HALO II!!!
« on: April 28, 2004, 06:16:19 PM »
This makes me happy.  The sooner the better, I was just wondering if anyone else is as exited about it as I am...

Geo Mod system for blowing up walls, 6 (?) new vehicles, new moves (like the combo donk/punch, or the jump ontop of a warthog and fight the driver), new levels and weapons, new storyline, and massive multiplayer... does it get any better?  If I am disappointed like I have been with soo many sequels I will be busting some heads...

I have never actually played the first Halo because I don't have an XBOX....is it any good? I hear it's like "OMG Di5 g/-\m3 is /)a 1337 roXXorz!!1!11!shift+1!!!" and then other's say it's very ovverrated. I dunno. I guess I'll judge it when I play it...

Heh. My review, which i now regard as being to lenient on the game, can be found here.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Halo one was both very good and overrated...it was merely very good, not the greatest game ever as some would have you believe.

well it's probaly the best console shooter.  And at the time it first came out (over 2 years ago) it was a very good shooter.  By the time it came out on the PC it was a little outdated.

I still have halo parties weekly with Ironstar and Onion and a cast of others, mostly because we have all become to poor to go lazer tagging anymore...

So the new halo makes me very excited (the old one is getting a little old)

In fact, I am at Onion's house right now "setting up".

Just got back from the Halo Party.  It was insane, best time I have ever had playing video games.  EVER.  3 on 7/8 capture the flag most of the night.  Very fun.  Thought I would brag a little, and show why I am so excited for Halo II despite my not owning an X-box...

Hehe, just the "n00b"ish response I could think of...anyway, I played Halo on multiplayer yesterday, and it was alright. I think I would enjoy it better if I had an XBOX and could get used to the controls...

Me make list. Quake 2/3, Counter-Strike, Battlefield 1942/Vietnam, and Halo. I like Quake because it's so fast-paced. It's one of those big adrenaline pumping games. Comparing that to Halo, I just don't like it (Halo that is). Halo is too slow for my tastes. But that is just me.

I'd just like to take this time to point out that "Leet" speak has been banned on this board, unless you're useing it to mock Entropy since it drives him crazy.

Yeah, HALO is pretty slow paced in general compared to, like you said, quake.  But I pick unreal tournament for my computer and faced paced FPS anyday.  Unstopable sniper.  I used to go up to wizards and play it with my friends.  Now they've pulled out so we play HALO instead...
