So what's the word on putting together a real guild?

we need 10 people, online at the same time, and 10s.

Right now we have 4.

Fell
Mr. P
Promethious
Me

We could up that to 6 by talking Promethious' brother and Micah (EUOL's roommate) to help out.

That leaves us 4 people short of a guild.  If Gemm ever get's WoW working the that would leave us 3 people short.

I don't think we'd have trouble recruting the necessary folks.  I have some friends who would pop on and sign the charter just to help out, I think.

We still haven't decided about Horde or Alliance though.  Sure, we could all keep our dwarves, but it sounds like most everyone is already in an Alliance Guild.

I vote we go Horde.

I'd be all for playing Tauren.

If the vote sways the other way I'm cool with it too.

I don't see why we couldn't do both.  We all have different play scedules and one of the purposes of a guild is so we know when each other is on and can communicate better.

Ya, Blizz has said that several times.  It's old news.  Though they do occasionaly offer the game via their in game store even if they're not shipping out any more copies to retailers.  They could handle new people, but what they'd have to do is block half the servers from letting new people on them, the other half have very few people on them.  But I doubt you'll see any type of restrictions on server populations since that method is unpopular.  Though as Tycho said "The deep wisdom of Final Fantasy XI's "World Pass" system has finally been made real to me".

Well people are starting to file complaints with the BBB over WoW.

http://www.labbb.org/BBBWeb/Forms/Business/CompanyReportPage_Expository.aspx?CompanyID=13050668&hAKAID=13&hAddrID=10

I hope something good comes out of all this, like MMO games actuay not comming out when they're not ready.

I cannot think of a single MMO that launched without Massive issues
With every one comes the "Chicken Little" phase,  The Petitions on the boards, the letters to the BBB (worthless IMAO*) the threats to Sue

Nothing ever comes of it

I saw it in Everquest, Asheron's Call, Planetside, Galaxies, and now, WoW.

It is part of the experience, A bad part, but one I have come to expect
Alles!!!

Thing is it shouldn't be.  True things happen, that's understandable, but MMO's are treated different then any other product by their fan base which is what allows these problems to persist.  Can you name any other product in the world that a company would expect you to purchise half finished with the addage "we'll fix it as we go along"?  Would you buy a movie or book that you got only half of then required to pay extra each month to get the other half?  I don't think so.

I'm not jumping on the "I hate Blizz" Bandwagon here, I've been ranting like this for months now.  Also I was one that stated serveral times WoW wasn't ready for release and Blizz was going to have problems (though I never thought the servers would contiunsly get worse).

Also Blizz isn't doing themselfs any favors with their current community team.  I'm sure it's more Blizz's fault then the emploies, but they never know anything, allwayse reply in very vauge generic answers.  Sometimes flat out lie, they like to say server crashes were "sceduled", though if they were and never told us that's incompedency.  I think if Blizz actualy stepped up and explained things, told people what was going on, there would be less outrage.

She's the one that said "Ninja Monkeys have no place in our game".
