*groan*

Guess I won't get today's unique item.  It's kind of stupid that you cannot connect to the Wi-Fi if you don't have someone's friend code because that's the way you get updates, special NPC visitors and gifts from Big N.

Well if you happen to remember where you posted it, or if you find your DS (since its on there) let me know.  Thanks.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Wow, not only is the DS getting VOIP but now it's getting the Opera Web Browser but also a TV tuner.

Have no interest in the TV tuner but I'm all for a web browser, especially if there's a DS enabled version of Flash for it.

Hmmmm, what? How will the DS run this thing without something like a memory stick or a flash drive?

It's supposed to be through the DS game slot.  Plug one cartridge in, and you've got a browser.  Plug another in, and you've got TV.  That sort of thing.

Also the webbrowser will come with a ram expansion that slides into the GBA game slot.

Ok Spriggan, I've finally gotten the internet in my apartment, however, the encryption I use from my router is WPA. The DS however can only work with a WEP encrytped network. A friend of mine was over trying to make it work but he could only get one or the other working with the network.

Any ideas? I'd really hate to have to buy the USB Wireless DS thingy.

Nope, it's WPA only.  I know people were complaining about this before on Nintendo's forum and all that was offered was to switch encryption methods.

OK, I've gotten the wireless to work with my laptop and DS. I've been playing a lot (or at least more than I usually do) of Mario Kart and have found that in every match 2 out of my 3 opponents will drop out, I will never come in first in any race, and drifting is a horrible concept that ever japanese kid has taken avantage of.

I wish there were an option to turn it off in races. People might actually be able to have some fun without destroying their wrists shaking the DS to get that boost as they come around a corner. Stupid freaking "updates" to classic gameplay.

I don't have MarioKart DS yet--hope to soon--but hasn't drifting always been a part of it--at least as far back as the N64 version, I remember using it.

Mmmm, I haven't really adamantly played any of the Mario Karts since the SNES days. That one I played to death. (Seeing if the Wins total in battle mode could get to 100. Which it doesn't. Just rolls over 99.)

I never really played the N64 or Gabecube versions.
