which implies that he said understand not unnerstand, which, of coarse, is not true.

In correspondence with the previous quote it could be assumed that the half that he needed to complete would be the half of saying unnerstand instead of understand, which he did.  What other part of the task is mentioned?  None.  Therefor the half which he needs to complete would be the half of saying unnerstand instead of understand, which he did.  This means unless you clarify he was all the way there and your comment was both incorrect and unnecissary.  Almost as unnecessary as this one...

he said unnerstand, but he didnt say he understood a crumpet so the other half he needed is understanding a crumpet

You neither referenced that you were speaking of understanding cricket as what he was halfway to nor did you mention that he needed to understand crumpets as his other half.  You didn't even mention crumpet at all...

How about you all just shut up?
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

You use the mallet to hit the lucky red ball (or if you get stuck with the unlucky blue one you wanna hit it) through the wickets.  That is how you play.  For scoring you will have to ask someone else...
