Nifty! I got to read a story by Skar!
« on: July 20, 2004, 02:26:43 AM »
For some strange reason, Leading Edge has a subscription to Sunstone Magazine. Sometimes I like to flip through it and shake my head at the interesting version of scholarship within, so I opened up the issue we got today. Well,I happened to notice that a story by Skar was in there.  It was the prize winner for a contest (the Brown somethingorother contest, I think).  Yay for a published story!

Plus, it was fun to see his picture--he has a huge, thick beard in it, and he was cleanshaven the last time I actually saw him in person (which, granted, was a long time ago, since he's been overseas for two years).

Anyways, it was fun to see another friend's name in print.

Lol.  I'll bug, but he's not even interested in writing group right now.  He's been away from his family for two years--he'd like a little time with them before he gets back into the normal groove.

Ah, so he finally came back from the fertile (with blood) crescent.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)
