18 days of glory, or something
« on: July 15, 2004, 12:04:57 AM »
Well Im going on Vacation, one I badly needed and I probably wont be able to get on a computer during my trip. This means 18 days of no TWG, which makes me a little sad. But hey at least I'll be able to post a review of England in the RPG reviews section.... (Just kidding) Seriously though, with a digital camera, a camcorder, and a whole slew of still disposables we should be in good shape. I just realized that I stop in at Entropy's home city too, but sadly that part of the trip will be so break neck, I dont see linking up with him. Shame that.

Basically the trip goes like this
London
York
Scotland
Wales
Home

with lots of days in London
one in York
a couple in Edinburgh
a couple in Wales.
with side trips to Bath, Brighton and some other places.

I wanted to go to Robin Hood country (he is my hero after all) but we didnt have time on this tour.

Oh, and friday is my wife's birthday, so I barely have time to shop for anything... thats ok she knows she gets something good this trip.

Mainly I just wanted to say TTFN.

Expect another photo essay as I bought a new journal for this trip.

I love you all.

Jeff

When you're in Scotland, if you happen to see a scarf in the Blair tartan...  ;) I doubt you would, actually. It's very hard to find. The only place I ever found it in the entire country on anything except clip-on ties (like I need one) was up north in Pitlochry, which is where the Blair castle is--which isn't even named after the Blair family, but rather after the plain the castle was built on (blar=plain in Gaelic).

Have a great time!

The only thing I'd ask for is in France, and I'd gladly pay for it, 'cept you're not going there.

well, if the ONLY part of Entropy that comes is his head, we should be able to get by.

Actually, I don't live in Scotland any more. Haven't for the last 6 or 7 years. I'm about 30 - 45 minutes from York on the train though. However, since it is legal to murder me with a longbow in York, i'll pass on the chance to meet you there. :P
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)
