Just looked at my report for work, and realized there isn't anything in there of general interest that I didn't put in my LJ entry.

Hey, any of you four who drove up here last weekend want to email me and tell me how much it cost in gas total? I just got tickets to Conference and am wondering whether it's cheaper to fly or drive. I'm soliciting riders in the local wards, but it might be easier just to fly. Fiona lives downtown anyway, so I wouldn't really need a car (as long as anyone who wants to see me is willing to come to Salt Lake to do so :) ).

Humm this could be a good excuse for a TWG Bucca party!
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Did you hear how we went to Buca up here? I've now discovered the deliciousness that is Buca.

That and Magic, man. I've discovered that playing Magic can be fun (I had no opinion before--never having played it).

Oh yeah, great fun--until the squirrels attack!!!  :o

BTW stacer, you'll have to get the gas price from EUOL. He put it all on his credit card and is going to add it up then divide it equally for us all. However, I can tell you now that if we weren't splitting, I would guess it wouldn't be worth it at all. If you have other people driving with you, though, it might be cheaper than flying--depending on Throckmorton's gas mileage.

Nobody from the wards has replied to me about going down, so driving may not be an option (it's only been a day, so we'll see). I only get 20mpg, and I imagine your car got much better gas mileage. I've seen some fairly good ticket prices, but it might be out of my price range to have to buy it ahead of time. But I really just want to get out of town, honestly, and may go ahead and do it, and make up for it next month (next month is my 3-paycheck month, which happens twice a year when you get paid every two weeks).

But that leaves me in Salt Lake with no car. I suppose I could ride the Trax/bus down to visit people, depending on how much time I have. I'm going to talk to people at work soon to see what kind of time I can get off. It all depends on deadlines, I'm thinking, and whether I can rearrange my schedule while I'm working at home (that's the time period that we'll be in exile).

Well, your welcome to stay with me. I have a big room, and I would be happy to accomadate you. (You'd probably want to bring your air mattress, though.) But then you would be in Provo, and dependent on me to go to Conference. So you'd need to pick up a conference ticket for me.  :)
