Weird and Strange Habits
« on: December 31, 2005, 04:13:10 AM »
Once again I have thought of a random question; what weird habits do you foster? I like putting my gum in the freezer after I chew it. I have no idea where this came from and I didn't even start doing it until about three years ago with no explenation. I just did it.

I flip my spoon upside down on my tongue when eating yogurt or ice cream to make sure I get all of it out of my spoon. My mom says it looks unlady-like. But how else am I supposed to get the good stuff out of the rounded part? (Or maybe I do it just to spite her.)  ;)

Besides, it's not like I eat at Embassy Balls or anything. If I become a princess, I'll stop twisting my spoon.  ;D

I like my pie cold. Warm pie is just kinda gross to me. I love to stash fresh-baked cherry or apple pie in the freezer to chill it up.

I also can't stand re-heated baked potatoes. Leftover mashed potatoes are yummy enough, but old baked potatoes taste icky to me.

I put salt on my watermelon. Learned it from my mom.

Similar to Shrain's, I don't reheat food to regular temperatures -- basically when I reheat leftovers I warm them just enough to take the edge off.  Kinda gross now that I think about it.

My brother does exactly what you do, Chimera, and my mom is bothered by it, as well.

I don't really know what weird habits I have.  Ari could perhaps tell you.

When I'm talking, sometimes I accidentally start speaking in an accent from a place I shouldn't have an accent for without noticing.

I pick up accents very quickly. I spent 2 days with a couple girls from southern Virginia. I had an accent for three days afterward. My sister laughed at me

As much as I love food, I can forget to eat for days, even on days when I've been watching food network most of the day.

I walk in a circle around a spot three times before I lie down to sleep there.

Hey, I do that too. I also lick the bedsheets for half an hour before I go to sleep.

... Oh wait, that's right.  That's actually my dog that does both of those things, not me.

i only sleep every couple of days, ussually every 3rd or fourth day I'll sleep, this is probably why I laugh when people tell me they've had a long day... oh yeah well my day was so long the sun set a few times before it was over.

I read haiku in the bathroom.
Actually, I guess I read poetry. I've been reading some Carolyn Foronda and Dylan Thomas in the bathroom too.

I do not read poetry outside the bathroom.
