Site News / Change in the search page
« on: August 01, 2007, 05:15:40 AM »
Hey, just letting you know I made a small change in the search page --mostly for my convenience-- it now uses the new URLs as well as department page layout.  Let me know if this is too annoying with all the extra text over the old version as I'm looking at this as the base look for the new search engine so I might as well get feedback now instead of later.

Table-Top Games / Star Wars Pocketmodel TCG
« on: June 16, 2007, 08:18:47 AM »
So this looks to be a slick little game.  Bascially its a Magic like CCG but your creatures are ships you move around to attack.  I need to play around with it a little more because it's more then that, but it looks to be a fairly fun game.

Table-Top Games / Wizkids sues Wizards

Over their CSG patent.

http://www.icv2.com/articles/home/10681.html

an interested part of this story as to why WK is probably being preemptive:

Quote
Wizards reportedly contacted WizKids in 2004 giving notice that it had applied for the patent for a punch-out constructible game and suggesting strongly that, when and if the patent were granted, WotC would take action against WizKids unless the latter would refrain from producing, marketing and selling its Pirates CSG.

Also this article makes mention of wizards CCG patent which Fell and I were discussing last week, apparently Wizards has been very unsuccessful in enforcing it in most cases which pretty much means it's a worthless patent since Wizards hasn't been diligent in enforcing it.
