it *wasn't my intent* to make the accusation on everyone who lives in the south to be racist people. I was expressing sympathy for people who had to deal with racism who lived in the south, like the prom issue. What I said was not intended to mean that the South is a bad place.

I agree there is a big deal with racism everywhere, but someplaces have it worse than others.

Then don't take it so offensively. South has a bad rap for racism because there is still a lot of racism. I'm not comparing it to anything in my original post. I have sympathy for anyone who has to deal with racism like the high school prom issue.

I didn't say everyone is worse down there, in fact I know a lot of southerners who are very friendly. But racism is alot worse in the south then anywhere else.
