Rants and Stuff / Re: These Stupid Titles VI

I happen to like it a lot, but it isn't for everyone. Some people really have a problem with the stuff having eggs in it. It is like a custard that hasn't been custardized.  It is really thick, and rich, but I like to put rum in it to thin it up a little, and it adds to the flavor. :D

I knew I would find a kindred spirit here somewhere. :D It is one of my favorite holiday drinks. Well, that and eggnog with a nice dark rum in it.

Hmmm, chocolate.....that sounds like a good start. :) Let's see, we can start with hot chocolate with peppermint. And some of those chocolate mint things that your mom makes that sounds like a wonderful beginning to the holiday candy fest. :D

Well, I have this amazing ham recipe. ;) And I make the most awesome bread pudding. Bread pudding is a very good Christmas time food. And maybe we should have a pie vote. I love blueberry,  cherry, and apple. How about you?

Well, she is our resident alms giver and foodie. So, she was making the pies and such for us, and some good meals were finally coming our way. I think we might be able to convince her to help us with some amazing Christmas eats. :)

Well, I am here for you Wilson. :D I will help you make it to the next level.

And besides, perhaps we should discuss what we will be asking Rose to make for us for our Christmas break. ;)

Suggestions Box / Re: What are your favorite Thanksgiving foods?

We only got a very small turkey because we weren't expecting to have company, but as it turned out my stepdad and my niece came over for Thanksgiving, so we had absolutely no leftovers at all. It was very sad.

I like to do ham or prime rib for Christmas. :) We should start a Christmas recipe thread. I make an amazing glaze for my ham, with some rather interesting ingredients.

I think it has less to do with making a statement, and more to do with showing how mundane tasks lead to martial skills. You know, kind of like The Karate Kid when Mr. Miyagi has Daniel doing all of the household stuff. But, I'm guessing.

Nice going with the thread while I was gone guys. :) It is wonderful. I will be off and on for the rest of the night, but you guys are keeping me well entertained. And don't worry, Lonely Hermit is just a redundancy. You will outgrow it at some point, I'm sure. :) Hopefully by some miracle it will be tonight.

And the forest will always be open to all of our allies. :D

I love it Candy, and three halves are no biggie here. We can deal with that just fine. :) I'm glad you are posting artwork again darlin', I for one, have missed your stuff. I'm pretty positive I'm not the only one either. ;)

MKing I love your artwork. I am consistently blown away by the amount of talent that you, and all the others that post here, have. :) Thanks for sharing.

It looks like it is about time for me to go too. That real life stuff I mentioned has snuck up on me, and is now time to do my chores and run my errands. Have fun today everyone, and give me lots of stuff to read when I come back. :)

It doesn't stop me from eating stuff with cinnamon in it, and it has gotten better with time. Strong cinnamon will still trigger the face though. A source of major hilarity for my family, I assure you. ;)

And I have seen no dead yet, but Ben really must have something to keep him busy. I wonder if he does autopsies on animals as well. I'm sure in the forest we must have dead animals somewhere. We can let Ben autopsy them before we butcher them for the evening meal. That way he won't be bored. :)

Oh, and Sprig does kind of do the whacking thing, but we do get to vote on the best name out of those that are chosen to make the cut this year. ;)

I try to avoid whiskey at all costs. It has a tendency to make for nasty drunks in my family, so I just don't test the theory that it might be familial and not just personal. :)

Edit: No dead here today, at least not on my side Ben. Sorry.

That is an interesting theory Monsta, but I have also learned to stay away from alcohol that has precious metals in it as well. Goldschlager is an awful, awful drink, when you have too much. I was sick for at least three days after that little episode. Worst hangover/alcohol poisoning I ever got. But, it was a lot of fun at the time. ;) Unfortunately, it has created a gag response to cinnamon, which happens to be one of my favorite flavors. It takes me a minute or two before my throat will accept the fact that gum isn't going to cause vomiting. I don't chew cinnamon gum very much any more, due to the silly faces I make when I first start chewing it and the first bit of cinnamon flavored saliva hits the back of my throat when I swallow. Just imagine it, it should make you giggle. It is quite comical I am told.  :P

Five replies while I was typing? Are you kidding me? Wow, is all I can say. And congratulations on becoming an organist, that is a fun job, and this crowd enjoys a merry tune. :)

And I don't snowboard nekkid, no matter how much tequila I have imbibed. ;)

Edit: And three more while I was noticing the five. Oy....you guys talk fast. I am now a Chief Forester. Yay!

I'm sure it will be full of fun stuff. Although, I am not going to be able to hang out for too much longer. I do want to level, and I would like it to be in here, but I have stuff I need to do in the real world as well, and I will be gone for most of the day. At least that should give me some entertaining reading when I get home though. ;)

The reason I don't go is not because I accidentally stumble onto spoilers, but because I have no self control and want to know what happens NOW, even if I don't get the book for a while. So, I try to avoid the area to keep myself away from temptation. Although the art thread is wonderful. I always stop and peek at that, but I try to keep my eyes to the top two topics on the list in there, and not stray further down the page.

Unfortunately, they want the "business" stuff put first, if they are anything like the place I worked for a couple of years ago. "Don't worry so much about the customers that are in the store, make sure you are making all of the phone calls to the ones that aren't coming in first." How is that supposed to make customer service better? It isn't, unfortunately, and since I put the customers in the store before, what I considered pointless daily harassing phone calls, (I mean every other day would work just as well, right?), I found myself out of a job. Luckily, it has been for the better. :)
