Brandon Sanderson / A conclusion I have come to . . . .
« on: April 06, 2011, 01:22:12 PM »

I know who Hoid is.

Ever noticed how sometimes he says stuff that's super useful, but may not seem useful.  Other times he says stuff that seems useful, but is way off?

Doesn't that sound like a certain Mok to you?

Reminds me of the cover of the Night Angel trilogy books.

..... It's not that they aren't fixing a problem.  If you completely mask your IP the only way for them to know who you are would be to do a mac address check.

The easier way would be to open one browser and open your router settings in it.  Vote.  Change your IP mask on your router close the browser you use to vote.  Reopen and vote again.

Though this is, of course, cheating.

You know what would be REALLY cool that I would be interested in seeing (if you find time after doing this project) would be a view of Elantris from atop one of the walls looking in.  (You should pick up that book if you haven't read it.)

There were a LOT of people that were extremely upset the book was being divided into three parts too.  It was quite ridiculous.

It looks freaking amazing!  The bottoms of the chasms still need to be a bit wider.

It could just be me, but I always imagined it to be more red colored.  Then again I guess red wouldn't make much sense considering all of the deposits from the storms.  So I'm probably wrong.

I don't know if it's accurate or not, but my vision has always been that the walls of the chasms would go straight down, or possibly even undercut the top by a bit.  So that the bottom of the chasm is wider than the top, due to the flood of dirt and rock rivers that run through them during storms.  So less of a sloping valley "U" shape, and more "|_|" shape... if that makes sense.

I agree with this.

Where do you find the full bracket and who is winning?

The chasms need to be much deeper I think. >>'  I could be wrong though.  At the current scale probably 60-75 unites deep on average.

Yay!  Vin is winning now!

I liked Wizard's first rule. It's heavy on the philosophy so it's not a fast read, but still really good.  I actually put it in the same catagory as Ender's Game.  Both are really good, but enough was resolved in the first book that I didn't feel a need to read the rest of the series.

Yeah, but at least the rest of the Ender's series was decent, if not anywhere close to as good as the first one.  I really enjoyed the Bean sequels, Ender's Shadow, Shadow of the Hegemon, and Shadow Puppets.  The ones that followed Ender's line were... kind of boring :/

The only ones I read were Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow.  I tried to read the next one in the Ender's line, but I couldn't do it.  It was much too boring.
