A hundred good? That's fifty bucks off (of course I'm willing to barter). I'm sending you a message right now. That would be cool if this worked out!

Okay, I know this is totally last minute, but I'm selling my membership for the World Fantasy Con, so if anyone was feeling like going...I'll sell mine to you for a good price. My pocketbook is seriously hurting right now, so there's no way I can get there. I just hope that someone else can use the membership...maybe someone who lives in Texas?

Got it!

So, guess what? My book 'Meet Your Match' just got accepted by Covenant! Whoo, I was actually starting to worry about that one. The projection date is Aug 7th, and now the fun begins. Edits. Yikes.

I knew you would get me for that one! I don't know, BUT I definitely want to read Nessa's book first...in fact I keep thinking about it. And yeah, thinking is a little different than doing. Maybe I should print it out and take it to the employment agencies with me? Do I have the latest copy?

So, I feel like I'm one of those people, who start every entry in the journal...from now on I'm going to do better.

Yep, maybe it's because I'm caught in the evil grasp of the great job search with still no victories, that's me to a tee! Although I'm trying for a part time job as a production assistant at a local TV station. We'll see how that goes.

I've had a little more success with the writing thing (I wonder if the two are connected?--I'll try not to think about that).

I've started YA fantasy novel, called 'Faery Prophecies.' I was inspired by 'Ella Enchanted' of all things. My niece made me read it and some of her other books that she loves, and I thought, hey, I could do something like this...so I am. It is REALLY  a lot of fun!

I've also finished an 'almost' final draft of a screenplay called, 'Macbeth.' My little brother is in a Shakespeare class in highschool and he wanted to make a film on it...and he MAKES films. We're about to have a premier of his 'Apocolypse Crusaders' film. Ha ha, a film that has taken him over two years to do with a variety of friends. We can definitely see them growing from scene to scene. It has to be over two hours long and we just hope the computer doesn't blow up on us, since it keeps threatening to do so with the Pinacle program we have on it.

Anyway, so we're thinking with a little more planning, we can get this thing done in hopefully...two to three months. We're already planning the costumes and the locations (a bunch of elementary schools, colleges, retaining walls, farmlands, canyons, and golf courses to create the look of a castle like time, since let's face it, we're a little sparse on castles around here).

We're weaving the 'real Macbeth' story with the Shakespearean version with a Scottish accent. Um, yeah, I'm giving my little brother's friends lessons. Get this. Macbeth really wasn't a jerk. Yeah, chew on that. It was kind of an English agenda at the time to make him look bad. So, yeah, you can definitely say the research was fun for this one.

And for the clincher, we're going to try to enter it in some amateur filmmaking contest. You know the ones listed in the 'without a box' section? We know it won't be 'the best' filmmaking wise (think about our locations and age of actors), but hopefully we'll pick the right amateur contest, right?

Anyhoo, yep, that's the latest. Pretty crazy. Any new projects on your side? I'd love to catch up.

Stephanie Fowers / The Black Priest
« on: September 12, 2006, 02:09:34 AM »
This is such a random question...I've been looking up some ancestry lately, and it's really interesting and it makes me want to write about it BUT I've hit a wall. Okay, I doubt anyone knows, but here it goes. I'm related to the Lamont clan. And the Campbells massacred them in a civil war in the 1700s. Anyway, the Lamonts that I'm related to changed their last name to Black to escape the Campbells because they followed a guy called 'The Black Priest.' Other than that, I can't find a thing about it??? Anyone a history buff out there or hear anything about such a guy? I'm been trying to look it up on the internet and I've just been hitting walls. Man, I love this stuff, but sometimes it gets so frustrating!

Ack! That's horrible! Um, so if you want to ask questions about a single thirty something...uh, guess who's having a birthday. Oh yeah! Trauma trauma trauma, so go ahead and ask if you need the research.

And about the dependability issue...yeah, it's so true. I've had people try to set me up with these 'projects,' as they call them. I can really 'turn' so and so around, that kinda thing...and I remember saying pretty much the same thing that the girl said... "I can barely take care of myself...why would I want to take care of some guy that I don't even like too.' Now flay me alive, but I think that unless you're equally yoked (or as equally as you can get), and you have the love factor, then sure, you can give a hundred percent...but there has to be trust there too...that he'll be the type that will be trying too.

My two cents!

Aighhhhh!!! I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I did try to write a month ago and it kicked me off and then...

Well, I shaved off a hundred and fifty pages off one of my sf books. I'm so proud...I think it might actually be better now!

The Aladdin Jr. play went well. The kids didn't rebel.

And...oh, time is so precious because I know I'll get kicked off pretty soon, but in about a month I think I'll have better internet. Yeah, you care, but I care.

Anyway, I miss you guys too!

Yup...I've been AWOL again!!! Sorry, I'm here in Washington helping direct a children's play, Aladdin Jr. I love it!!! The internet is almost completely dead to me, but for some reason the lack thereof has helped me write more...so hopefully I'll have something to show for it when the summer is over. Anyway, I'm excited to see how Rob's book has been doing, so I think I'm gonna peek at his site while I have access to the internet.

Until next time, ha ha! See ya!

Yup, with enemies like these, who needs friends...ur, with friends like these...whatever!

Nah, you didn't massacre it, although sometimes I wish you did. It just needs work. That darn Point of View kills me everytime. I should just keep everything first person, so I don't mess up.

I sure hope I have working internet around June. We'll see!

Okay, the third clue has been posted. I'm way getting into this! And this one is close to BYU...which means I don't need a car to get to it...

So, last night I tried to start my car and the key wouldn't turn in the ignition...and so of course, I'm blaming this on the bad guys SINCE of course they would know that I was planning on clue hunting today...AND NOW I'm stuck here!!! Guys, go check in Springville. I totally think there has to be some faded statue there of a general. That's what we WOULD HAVE looked for. Of course maybe I'm way off, but then why would my car be having troubles? Coincidence? I think not.

Yup! The place is so small that the newspaper only comes once a week, and it's like Cheers, where everybody knows your name. It's going to be fun.

I like it, except I'm not sure what my internet situation will be like once summer hits. I'm going to the 'village.' And, I might get occasional library visits to check up on internet junk. Although, I might get lucky. I'll know for sure in a month, so I'm sure I'll know before July to tell you!
