Well, I'm having a blast with mine.

Oblivion, COD2, and GRAW are all fantastic. Battlefield 2 was just okay...not something I'd recommend really.

Chromehounds, though, is my new addiction.  The single player is horrible, but the multiplayer is fantastic IF you can get into a squad.

What's more fun than building your own mechs from the ground up and taking part in a persistent war where you battle for terriotories?  Nothing, that's right.

I'm in a squad with the guys over at Gamertag.com and it's going pretty well.  Squads are the game's equivalent of clans, BTW, and you have to be in one to join the war.

Beyond just building mechs there is a lot of strategy in the game.

I love it.

Movies and TV / Nightwatch

Anyone else see this yet?  I know it's making the run around St. Louis gaming circles.

It's a russian film that was a blockbuster over there (based on a book that was a bestseller there) that's a modern fantasy/occult horror film.  Lot's of supsense, neat powers, and a bit of action here and there.  Very neat premise.  It is a bit surreal and certainly won't be for everyone, but I loved it.  I can't wait for the sequel, Daywatch, to hit our shores.

Plus, the translations of the books come out at the end of the month.

Anyone else seen it?

So I picked up some packs today and out of two Sinister and two Fantastic Forces I managed to pull a U Samuel L....err... Nick Fury and Nimrod.

I'm pretty happy.

I'm sorry, I posted the wrong link in the above message.

This is the correct one:  http://www.timewastersguide.com/view.php?id=914

Should answer you questions and directs you to the RPGA homepage in there too.

Funny you should ask!  I covered just this very thing in an early Nerdery.

I'll work up a 'wants' list here soon to see if we can work something out.

Here's a partial list:

REV OMAC
Kyle Raynor (CD)
REV Superman (Icons)
E/V Iron Man (AW)
E/V Warmachine (AW)
Ultimate Iron Man
Ultimate Thor

Thanks.

I know there's a HC community here, but I don't know what the age range is.  I really don't want to be playing with a bunch of pre-teens.

I do have some trade material though since I have double of the following uniques:

Icons Flash
AW Black King
CD Jonah Hex

err... I think there was another extra too.  I'll have to check again.

If I could have just pulled an Iron Man and a Warmachine from any Armor Wars booster I would have stopped there.  It took about 9 boosters over the last few months and I finally pulled a rookie one of each the other day.

I still can't believe I didn't get any OMACs.  I really wanted at least a few...

I picked up a Brick of CD today along with a handful of Sinister and Armor Wars.  I've always been a huge Marvel fan, but have recently been drawn into DC via Infinite Crisis.

Oh, I also picked up the Danger Room...very cool.

The good:  The brick of CD gave me complete REV sets of most about half the figs.  I got some really cool figs today! Overall, I'm very happy with the haul.

The bad:  Not as many uniques as I would have liked.  And I still don't have a Superman of any form from either this set nor from Icons.  That stinks!  I would have also liked to get more Green Lanterns, but I ended up with 3 copies of the rookie.  Also, I'd have loved to get a whole bunch of OMACs.  Didn't even get one.  Sigh.

Who knows if I'll actually ever play...these are just so much fun to collect.

Of note, they had already developed a constructible LOTR game before they didn't get the liscence.  You may remember seeing a very cool constructed Nazgul a few years back.

It would be cool for WK to get Star Wars, though I doubt WOTC will ever let it go.

YEah, if you have "Ranged Attack" you can use it every round up to it's rate of fire, for instance.

When you buy the power you can choose to increase damage, increase ROF, increase AP, do knockback, add elemental tricks, etc.

No, super powers are handled an entirely different way (which is great since it really opened my eyes on how to do things like cybernetics and the like).

Basically you use power points to buy a superpower and any modifiers.  After that, the power is always on.  It may require a roll to activate, but you don't need to spend any power points.

There's very little to keep track of beyond the basic SW stuff in NE.  It's pretty elegant.  Check out my review here for my thoughts on it from long ago.
