Floppy disks are made out of some magnetic material.  So you could also tie the thread on the rod, place it on the surface of the water and place the disk next to the glass on one side.  Which ever rod reacts to the disk being placed by the water is the magentic one.

my girl friend just bought a creativ about a month ago, the screen stop displaying anything about 2 weeks after she bought it.  That is my only experiance with creativ so I do not like them, but odds are it was just a fluke

If you wanted to show this mathematically, you could say that the percentage of numbers with a 3 in them can be expressed as 1 - (.9)^n where n equals the number of digits.  When you hit about 42 digits, 99 percent of the numbers have a three in them.

So, if you have 1-(.9)^(infinity), then you would have 1, or one hundred percent.

This is very similar math thought that is behind the fact that you can prove 1 is equal to 1 or that 1/3 + 2/3 does not equal 1.  It has a lot to do with rounding errors and generalizing

Yes the percents increase from10% to 19% to 27.1% when you go from 10 numbers to 100 number to 1,000 numbers and it increases again when you go to 10,000 (I am not doing the math to figure that out sorry guys).  But every time it increase the amount it increases get smaller, by the time it reaches the amount it is increasing is going down exponentially.  It starts off with big jumps but will soon get to so small of a jump that it is uncalcuable.  There for you can never really make it to 100%.

so then 1 being a real number contains a 3 in.....or are you saything that since there is an infinite amount of numbers then the fact that 1 does not contain a 3 is to small to relize, but then you have to think about all the other numbers that do not contain 3.....which yes is infinite, so there is no possible way that 100% of the numbers contain a 3.  In fact the highest I think you could go would be 10% if that.

Yeah that works too.  I had a more complecated way of doing it.  Should have looked for easier ways of figuring out.  I was using grams to make the number higher, and forgot to chance the gallons to liters....sorry

Do we have a volunteer to do that act?
Well I am trying to get her to stop doing that.  Ever time I have to go work on her computer I ask her why she has it on.  The funniest think I that she will wear a skirt.  If you are going to be cold wear something warmer…just a thought

OK I think I can post my riddle now...I hopefully worked out anything that might have been wrong with it but we will see....Since most of you are fantasy adventurers I will tailor it to you guys.....

You and your party are found in the dungeon and need to proceed through this locked door.  The door can only be opened when you figure out the riddle.  Inscribed on the door is the following passage

"This door will only open under the correct weight." Under this passage you see that 41.5 kilograms in written in the door also.  Next to the door is a platform, that you assume is the scale, 3 jugs, and a small pound.  Your party has already figured out that 1 gallon of water is equal to 2.5 kilograms, and that each jar weighs the same (500 grams), but holds different amounts of water.  Jar A can only hold 10 gallons, Jar B can only hold 5, and Jar C can only hold 3 gallons of water.  You must figure out how to get exactly 41.5 kilograms on the scale with using the water and the jars.  Good Luck.
