For the Jolly Green gets drafted:

"Private Butters prayed that the Sergeant would skip squat-thrusts today"

The special parts are exactly what I mean.  You know how cool the Enterprise would have been if I would have had some of those lasers from the 'space age' Lego series of today.

Of course, at the the same time, the Legos of today make for less creativity.  If the piece actually LOOKS like a laser, then it can only BE a laser, know what I mean?

Yeah, The Great Escape is another classic.  Have you ever seen "The Big Red 1''  Its about the US 1st Army in Italy if I remember right.  It even has Mark Hammill in a non-Star Wars, non-soft porno role.  Plus, it has Lee Marvin, I think he is in every WWII movie ever made in the US.  What other actor says WWII like Lee Marvin.

I spent a lot of time playing with legos too, but I invariably made the Starship Enterprise and went flying around blasting Klingons (remember, this was original Star Trek).  BTW, is anyone else jealous of how cool Legos are today compared to the Legos of the 80s?

Pretty ironic, that conditioning.  Here in the US, we often just rip off what everyone else does and try to make it our own.  Take all the British TV shows that are remade for the American market: Who's Line Is It Anyway, American Idol, Weakest Link, etc...

I thought the famous quote was: "Never fight a land war in Asia" and "Never bet a Sicilian when Death is on the line"

Anyway, I got into this late.  If anyone wants to watch a great movie about the Brits fighting the Japanese, go rent 'Bridge Over the River Kwai' (I hope that is the right time frame, I remember it being WWII).

Also, remember that you can never eliminate Indiana Jones from the WWII picture, who knows what crazy adventures he might have gotten into if the US hadn't entered the war...

Hi, everyone, its me, MICAH!  FYI, as you can see, i am not Tage.  EVOL is smokin' something.  Tage is his other roomie.  If you want longer reviews, let me know what kind of info you would like...Just keep in mind that some books just don't fit well for long reviews, i.e. the Fiend Folio (what do you say...just list the monsters...its either got lotsa good or lotsa crappy monsters or somewhere in between...not much to say except what the good/bad split is).  For a longer review, see my upcoming article on the Unapproachable East.  Let me know if that is more your style.

Thanks for the feedback.

Hi everyone! My name is Micah DeMoux.  I write reviews for the D&D section of the TWG.  I've been told people wonder why I never post.  Well, here you go.  I also graduated from Brigham Young University (for those of you who don't live in Utah thats the BYU people keep mentioning).  I have a Fine Arts degree in Photography which, of course, means that I am the Front Office Manager at a hotel in Provo, UT.  I also do some freelance photography work on the side.  If I ever get my website (eyerisimages.com) working, you will be able to see some of my work.

Sweet...maybe now I will get to lvl 2!
