To add to this, you can use a number of website to host your art - http://imgur.com/ is my personal preference.

I am pretty happy with the second image. Only thing I am concerned about is the size of the actual plateaus - after all, small armies are supposed to be able to have an active battle going on most of them. I don't know how to fix it though; if you up the scale and make the plateaus bigger, the chasms would become too small...

This, although humorous, actually gives a better idea than most.

Well, right, I can see why you wouldn't want to call him for every little - or big - thing. But there are some things that are not in the books, and I am certain Brandon is excited about having accurate and cool art re: his books almost as much as the fans.

Perhaps hexagons or octagons? They are close enough to the circular shape of coins, and you can make the argument that are parts of a bigger entity quite easily.

On a side note, can't you just call Brandon and ask him?

Here is some Zane:

Quote
The Watcher stood quietly. He didn't look much like a messenger or courier. He wore all black, even a pair of black gloves. He wore trousers and a silken shirt, with no cloak or cape. She remembered that face. It was him.

Quote
Vin spun. A man landed quietly behind her. He looked . . . familiar, for some reason. He had a lean face—topped with dark hair—and his head was cocked slightly in confusion. She could see the question in his eyes. Why had she fallen down?

Quote
The Watcher stood quietly, then shook his head, as if . . . disappointed. Then, he pulled something from his sash.
Quote
Through the swirling mists, in the reflected light of the tent, she could see something on Zane's arm.

The skin was covered with thin white streaks. Scars.

Zane immediately lowered his arm, hiding the scarred flesh with his sleeve.

I know Brandon had something about the boxings in one of his annotations, but I can't remember which one or what it said. I know it's there though.

Pfft, Brandon will overwrite the Mayan calendar. Or even better, the end of 2012 will be when A Memory of Light will be released, and the series will not go out with a happy ending - thus, the end of the world.

Two Stormlights every three years, yes. Basically Stormlight, Stormlight, side project, rinse & repeat. A book every year. Of course, we have a little over another year to see the end of the Wheel of Time, which is the current project at hand.

I don't know if it's a fact, but we've seen him everywhere so far, and it has been confirmed that he is the same person. He can travel between Shardworlds, so it's safe to assume that he pop up everywhere.

Miyabi, the draft chapters of The Liar of Partinel kind of give an explanation why this is possible - assuming that what is written there is part of the truth about the history of the Cosmere. Of course, his changes in appearance could be explained simply be saying that he is hundreds, if not thousands of years old and has had plenty of time to grow bear, cut hair, and so on.

I don't know, I haven't read any of the books with this other dude.  But I figured it was going to be one of the super-mages that would take this thing, and Vin comes from a world that's just not that wizard-y.

As powerful as Ben is, there are many beings more powerful than himself in the Malazan books. His real power lies in his intellect - he is always prepared and often overly cautious. I have seen him use raw power only rarely. I wish we had seen more of his cunning in the match write-up...

I don't know, I've voted several times for Vin vs. Quick Ben. I just give it a few hours between votes.

Things are looking grim for Vin...

I am actually kind of torn. Quick Ben is one of my favorite characters in Malazan, but I like Mistborn as a series better. Voting for Vin still.

SirZelig, that informant was shaped after Tolkien, not Jordan :) Old, fatherly, pipe, stories, etc. That's also book #3. Hoid appears in book #1, when Kelsier plays an informant himself. First he visits a real informant (Hoid), pretending to be a noble; then he disguises himself as an informant and talks to Straff Venture.

Tor had an article about a real storm photograph that supposedly looks like a Highstorm - here is the link. It looks very similar to the Way of Kings cover art.

Actually, looking at the cover art again, I think it may be a picture of the Shattered Plains :)
