Brandon Sanderson / Re: WOK Spoilers: Parshmen

I imagine the parshendi/parshmen collective is/are the foot soldiers referenced in the introduction.
Max is a Shadowblade, a supernatural--and supernaturally competent--warrior bound to protect her witch Giselle. As a Shadowblade, Max doesn't age. She is better, faster, stronger than any ordinary human being. And she hates it. Giselle betrayed her trust to make Max what she is, and though she is magically compelled to protect Giselle and follow orders, Max works against her witch in every way she can. I personally don't think Hoid is a Shard. He does clearly have epic powers, though.
I haven't seen airbender yet, but feel compelled too. I'm also dreading it. WHY???!!!
QuotePssht. Oprah as Tindwyl.
I agree.
On a more serious note, who to play Spook, esepecially if they do a trilogy. They need someone who is able to show all that development, probably some one who will actually grow up during the filming.
That's the nice thing about having a year between each book, and each book being a year long, if they do all three, they probably won't have to worry about actors ageing out.
for TLR, i honestly would think that someone large, and imposing would make a good choice. Which is why i think vin diesel would be a great TLR. He's big, imposing, can easily look the part of evil, and a relatively good actor.
I always thought of the Lord Ruler as leaner as well, albeit well muscled. and remember, he's supposed to look surprisingly young. I had this problem in the books, I kept picturing a man in his thirties, but if you have access to eternal youth, why be thirty when you can be twenty one?
I really like that one a lot, but I always mentally associate Preservation with the color white. Mist-Vin is a bit too dark in my opinion.
Actually that passage reads that Vin was white above Elend but Ruin was Dark in the area. He might be dipicting that. The one factuall error i see is that no Inquisitors (with the exception of Marsh) were there during the fight. However, givin the epic of the painting i think we can let that slide.
lol! Yah, I was painting based purely on my emotional reaction to the scene, and from memory, so some accuracies did slide.
Thanks for compliments guys.
This is the background for my laptop now. i really like it. It is my favorite piece that i have seen to date.
Mine as well. It's too pretty to not look at every time I see my desktop.
I kinda want to get it put on one of those big canvasy things and get it hung in my living room.
i love Firefly as much as the next scifi fanboy, but really, Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau are not right for every part! LOL
However: Sean Maher (aka Dr. Simon Tam) is Kelsier in my opinion (not the Lord ruler): http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0536883/
Miranda Cosgrove could be a good Vin once her hair was chopped. (yes, she is iCarly and was the little sister on Drake and Josh) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1388927/
Lord Ruler, imho, could be none other than James Callis: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0130536/
Iam going out on a limb, and I think it is way too early to say, but I think that Dallet is Hoid. Just something about him smiling against all odds, it just seems like him.
Then again, Dallet is a warrior, which we haven't seen Hoid being yet.
EDIT- and Cenn as Ruin. (He is the red-haired shard from HoA, right?)
EDIT EDIT-
Never mind. I was writing as I was reading, and am displeased to learn that Kaladin thinks Dallet and Cenn are dead.
