my bad the quote system hates me appearently. I was saying that the parshendi we're likly not looking for the sphere. Gavilar was suspicious of other factions not the parshendi. They also did not send szeth for it.

I'm with comatose. These are correlations but none of the comparisons are proof. It's likly that you are speculating and extrapilating too much.

I don't think the curse affects anyone but the person who makes the request.

Gavilar did not suspect the parshendi of sending the assasin. I think he wanted to keep the black sphere from someone else.
Quote
True, but just because he wasn't trying to keep the sphere from the Parshendi doesn't mean they weren't looking for it.

i suppose. But that means he wanted them no one to get it. Also what did the assasin send with it?

Personally, I think the black sphere is more likely than shardblades. It seems to have significance, from the way Gavilar treats it.

The only part that doesn't fit is that the Parshendi didn't tell Szeth to recover it. And Gavilar probably wouldn't have given it to an assassin working for the Parshendi, unless he didn't know that they were after it, and he was trying to keep it from someone else.

The main reason that I'm convinced the Dula is Galladon is because most Dula are described as being unfailingly optimistic. Now, I'm sure there are more exceptions than just Galladon, but it still makes it more likely to be him.

And yes, I wouldn't be surprised if the part 2 epigraphs are written by Hoid. But again, I think there's not enough specific evidence there to really get behind the idea.

I think it might be a dula. However i doubt it's Galladon. He would have said kolo and sule not friend. there is no reason to hide their language on another planet. If he said something truly in the dula language he would have said more than one word.

no i believe blood can only be soulcast with a garnet. Thats how shallen turned the goblet to blood upon returning to the shadesmere. Notice that Shallen and Kaladin and i am assuming jasnah have powers that they are not born with but rather come from a relationship with spren. It's not inborn and likely doesn't increase in liklihood through bloodlines. I doubt her father had a spren and rather used the caster as it was intended.

In answer to miabi's comment (too far back to quote appearently) i doubt he was using it as a cover because he was dealing with the ghost group and they supplied the fabrial. He wouldn't have needed a supplier or owed debts if he was bonded to a spren.

we have to consider that the timelines in this case likely stretch for millons or perhaps more/less years. The facts are that adulansium shattering made the other shards . But we are still in the dark (i presume) on how one gets a shard and creates life on a planet. Were ati and lerus from another planet and made scadriel? what about austure? we don't know enough about where the enitial "gods" come from. and brandon has said there is a distinct timeline with i believe liar of partanel( forgive spelling) at the begining. asking him question about timelines would be good. the shadesmere may be unique to roshar as well. we don't know enough about that yet. We need to find out how many shards there are. if some one could compile a "head count" of the shards we could start detirming how many potential planets in the cosmere support shard-holder dieties. Of corse if the shards can go to different planets and create different magic systems that one shard might be two dieties at different times in the cosmere timeline. lots of unorganized thought here sorry.

"edit"Appearently my editing brain has turned off for the weekend, i apologize again. "edit"

no i know. i am spaeking of a focus in infroming new readers. Also it occured to me. A theory is out there that there are 16 shards. Sazed showed that one person may access more than one shard. could one person reunite all the shards and "re-form" adulnasium?

i am sure she used it to kill her father because the shardblade also cut the soulcaster. Thats why it was cleanly severed. I find a couple possible plot holes in shallans story though. If she has a shardblade (which we assume with evidence she does) than why did she not sell it. The cost would have cleared any debts the family had without question. Also, after she was poisened jasnah fraked out causing shallan to give her the soulcaster. However, because jasnah had always used a fake she would not have freaked and shallen would have not needed to give it to her and she wouldn;t have been exposed.

having finished WoK i would reccomend readers (in order to most appreciate and understand the developing plot) read Brandon's books in the order they we're published. If not then read the mistborn trilogy. This will give newcomers a barebones understanding of the forces at play in Brandon's universe (the cosmere)
