I don't offend easily.  I will read anything.  However, I do try to limit extremely explicit stuff in my own work.  That is my personal preference.

Apparently you can download different voices for various GPS devices.  They've got things like Austin Powers.  My friend told me they also have Mr. T.  He says things like "I pity the fool who don't turn left here."

Never occurred to me, but I can see your point.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: How did you find out about Brandon Sanderson?
« on: June 11, 2009, 10:33:13 PM »
Count me among those who discovered Brandon's books after he was chosen to complete the Wheel of Time.  I started listening to Writing Excuses, and then I read Elantris.  I was hooked.

Desperation was good.  I enjoyed it.

Mine still needs a lot of work.  I'll let you know when it's ready.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Hoid??

At the very least, Brandon created a character to play as himself if the movies are ever made  :D

I like this idea. I will picture Brandon as Hoid from now on  :D

I agree with this as well.

If I ever get published I might change it to NoLongerSomeHackWriter or SlightlyCompensatedHackWriter.  But until then, I just like the sound of it, lol.

I am SomeHackWriter.  You can call me Hack.  I escaped from my mother's womb 4 weeks early, and I've been trying like hell to get back inside one ever since.  The great tragedy of my life is that my tendency to stick my foot in my own mouth and my terrible since of direction make my task nearly impossible.  I spend my evenings in a drunken stupor, chain smoking, cursing little old ladies, threatening puppies, and generally being a public nuisance.  Occasionally I write my incoherent ramblings down on scraps of paper.  If I can find any of it the next morning, I might post some of it.  But you won't like it.

If it makes you feel any better, you can call me dirty names and threaten me with physical harm.

That is quite interesting.  I'm working on a piece that pokes fun at the D word.

Sorry, I've missed the joke - what is a classic?
