It's a great movie.

It has to be the most optimistic and happy post-apocalyptic movie I have ever seen.

Waiting till 2009 won't be pleasant.

Still, at least they've found Earth. An apocolyptic Earth, but it is Earth none the less. So not everything has to wrapped up in the last few episodes.

Role-Playing Games / Re: D&D 4th Ed.

The more I read, the more 4th edition seems like Orginal D&D (before 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 3.5). Multiclassing is basically gone and each class is limited to just a few options. The classes are more strictly confined. And noncombat has taken a backseat again.

Since it has now been officially released, thoughts?

My inititial scanning of the books tells me that it is a very different game than what has come before. It feels a lot more like WoW and a lot less like original D&D. There is a greater emphasis on combat and less focus on non-combat situations, which is a little disappointing to me. However, I've heard from play-testers that may not be entirely true. Many say non-combat situations actually run a lot smoother and have more variety now.

7th at 6 pm is a great time.

I thought this was a great movie, though afterwards I recommended that my 8-year-old niece not go see it.

I saw this movie today too.

It's a fun movie to watch, but is mostly fluff. So many of the scenes I had to work really hard to suspend my disbelief, but fortunately it didn't dwell on those impossible moments (of which there are several) for very long.

IMO, it's not 6 clocks, more like 4 clocks. Whatever.

The hybrid jumping the baseship was a great ending. I can't wait for the political fallout of both Roselin and Baltar missing.

I think stuff is happening, at least on a building-up level. What happened in this last episode couldn't have happened if it weren't for the previous episode.

Also, maybe Kara is a cylon. I still think she isn't but maybe the writers are just preparing viewers to accept that she is. It's possible the writers don't intend for the final cylon to be a surprise.

Anyways, there was some great acting in this last episode. I knew that one officer was going to die once she said she was going to the base ship. I liked the Roselin in the hospital scenes and the theological discussion was well done for something that could have easily gone horribly wrong, but it works for the show.

Sadly, my roommate insisted on watching this episode with me. He hasn't watched the last 2 seasons and is a rather vocal person. He kept freaking out at all the stuff going which was just annoying. Yes, in most episodes of Battlestar Galatica someone is pointing a gun at someone else about every 5-10 minutes.

I still need to see this movie. I'm glad it's being reviewed well.
