Stoneheart . . . was odd. The plot was interesting, but the writing (and grammar) were so awful it was nearly painful. I didn't bother with the sequels.

Watchmen

"Men get taken in. Dogs get put down." -Rorschach (*smashes cleaver into criminal's head*)

The scene in the jailcell . . . "GIVE. ME. IS. MY. FACE." -Rorschach

"None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you–you're locked in here with me." (*Splashes hot oil on man's face, tackled by security*)

What an awesome movie.

Hmm . . . I've never tried reading for that long a period but I doubt my reading speed is that fast.  :-\

I think grapes would be more appropriate in this conversation. . . .  ;)

Many people work during the summer. As for eating and sleeping. . . .

Anyways, f you think about it, there are twelve books in the series (New Spring included), and if each one (except for New Spring) is roughly 700–1000 pages, then let's say there's an average of 800 per book. That's about (roughly, of course) 400 pages a day . . . with the small type . . . for me that's nigh on impossible.  :-\

She doesn't even deserve a number.

I'm not well-read (or old enough!) to have spread through a big enough range, to have read enough period, or basically to read the books i want to (and will (hopefully)) eventually read, but up there right now: RJ, BS, Patrick Rothfuss, Ray Bradbury, Mercedes Lackey, Chaim Potok, Michael Crichton, Jonathan Stroud, and all the others that I can't think of right now.  :)

I actually thought BS did a pretty decent job of giving steady reminders as to the time frame (mostly by Hrathen bemoaning his lack of time).

I know what you mean, though. Chaim Potok (in The Chosen) does a great job of covering an enormous amount of time in a relatively short novel, while keeping the story at a steady flow and making it seem 'natural.'

I haven't even started my re-read yet. I'll probably still be workin' on it when book 12B comes around LOL.

I find this kind of incredible, because the 27th is my birthday.  ;D What an amazing present!  :D
