lol.  SCRIBBLER TWO!!!!! ZOMG!

For those of you who weren't around "Y.A.S.P. (Yet Another Secret Project)" was Scribbler.

So I conclude mark II must mean Scribbler II. =DDDDDDDDDDDD

That's funny. As soon as I read twitter I responded "scribbler 2?!?!?!". Makes sense since Scribbler got picked up.

In case anyone's wondering what the problem is, it can mess up BookScan numbers for the release week (and thus bestseller ranking) if people buy their copies early.

I thought I heard this when Mistborn came out so when they called me last week to tell me my book was in I asked them if it would count towards the NYT best seller numbers since it wasn't supposed to be out until the 9th. I got put on hold then...
"Uhh, nevermind, we have your book and you can come pick it up on Tuesday."
"So I can't pick it up today then?"
"Uhh, no, but you can get it on Tuesday."

Now if I wasn't the one to point that out I'd be a little upset... especially if I got up to the register and got denied.

And then that get's ruined by the review posted in Brandon's blog...

Well it's been so long since I read the book I can't wait to get my copy... I went and made a nice pdf of the latest version but didn't read it because I didn't want the story fresh when I read the paper copy.

Just because it's Bioware... it's a MMO that I'll actually pay a monthly fee for.

Well I've been reading this site for a while now but I didn't register until a certain mistcloak made me. So, I might not be cool enough to have my vote count but you're getting my two cents anyway...

elmandr1 - I can see it how you are presenting it... Preservation was the Mist Spirit and the Mist were Preservation therefore you shouldn't eat your hat... but all it really seems like is a desperate attempt not to eat a hat. You were very adamant about Vin merging with the Mist Spirit and that wasn't done.

If we had know at the time that the Mist and Mist Spirit were of two parts of one entity at the end of WoA, I'da voted for you, but since they were two separate entities, as far as we knew... I'll get the ketchup.

Not to be a party pooper here but... isn't making T-shirts with quotes and art from Mistborn, and profiting from said T-shirts, kinda illegal?

EUOL said that the Preservation Nugget could be alloyed with other metals to create any type of Misting... maybe I'll find the quote later.

I'm thinking Atium is the same way and alloying Atium with different metals will do similar things... Mixing Atium and Gold let you see other's past instead of your own. But who really wanted to test out that theory and waste Atium.

Seems like there's a lot of hinting that Atium, and therefore Malatium, don't belong in the wheel of 16... But I can't get a good enough look at the posted pic to see if it really is or not. So even after the last book is out, I'm still waiting on something Mistborn to be released.

Is Silver the 'real' Temporal metal?

Marsh was one of my favorite PoV's in the book and, while reading through, I thought the epigraphs were Marsh and he somehow ended up being the Hero or Ages.

EDIT: Well I couldn't read the titles of the metals but it is the Atium symbol on the poster... Wonder why one God Metal is on the wheel but not the other.

I got the book yesterday after work! Got home read the first couple sentences and had to set the book down and laugh... got back to reading and the next thing I know it's 3:30am, and I need to be at work at 7:00am. Two and a half hours of sleep makes for a long day.
But still... I can't wait until lunch, just hope I don't 'just one more chapter' myself into a three hour lunch.

I was thinking a good final topic would be, why was the book originally titled The Final Hero instead of The Hero of Ages. Vin is going to have to sacrifice herself at the second well and all magic will be destroyed... no more magic, no more heroes.

I just got a call from B&N... my book is ready for pick-up!!!

Only problem... I was expecting the book on the 14th... I get paid on the 15th and I currently only have $5. So much for floating a check, don't think it'll float til Wednesday. GAHH!

Now he just needs to add a St. Louis stop to... then I'd be a happy camper

I find it interesting that after all the mistrust Reen's voice seemed to be creating, he still says go back at the end. It's actually a lot like the Mist Spirit; driving and antagonizing and attacking and finally stabbing Elend at the end, only to teach her how to save him afterwards... Suspicious.

Remember though... Ruin seems to demand. What we think is Preservation whispers. And by 'we' I mean 'I'.

There's also an instance where Elend hears a voice when he kills that one koloss, but I don't remember where that one is explicitly.

Was Elend pierced? I can't remember that... but I didn't think he was.
