Movies and TV / Re: Even more original Star Wars

It's cool, but I can see why they didn't put it in. Doesn't add a whole lot, and the dialogue isn't exactly inspired stuff. Especially that line about "the best friend I ever had." It just doesn't seem to fit Luke.

Hahahaha. I had quite the hearty chuckle about this thread. I was semi-convinced that it was real at the beginning, but once it started getting to the "bow down to your lizard overlords" part I started laughing uncontrollably. Good work comrades, you've made one of your website lurkers happy.

"Disarm" and "Stumbleine" for me when it comes to the Smashing Pumpkins. A lot of their best work seems to come when they go acoustic.

"Confession" by Cold. I don't particularly like their older stuff, and a few of their harder songs are weak, but I've found a lot to like about this band.

"Straight, No Chaser" by Bush made me give their album Razorblade Suitcase another listen. Now it's one of my favorite albums.

I found ads for frog food as well.

Speaking of frogs, I thought this was hilarious:

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Favorite Character in Elantris
« on: January 23, 2006, 04:13:38 PM »
Hrathen was most definitely my favorite character, though I thoroughly enjoyed reading all three points of view. He was by far the deepest of the characters, and I can relate to his struggling with religion. My favorite quote of his was where he said something along the lines of "My problems are with Wyrn, not with Jaddeth." It came at just the right moment, and to me it defines his character perfectly.

In other news, I just bought The Flaming Lips Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots. Nothing anti-American, just songs about robots having emotions and stopping said robots from eating people. Good stuff.

So wait, are they going to release it in English? I wouldn't mind Japanese, but it might get a bit distracting trying to read text with all the action.

I thought this movie was really well done. It could have done without the love story, but I just used the time devoted to that aspect to think over what was going on in the others.

Archon plays a mean game of Risk. Especially when those games involve ganging up on Gorgon.

Edit: Well now... I guess MsFish probably plays Risk pretty well. She also posts faster.

And think, if they were really resourceful, they could have gotten another meal out of it. Wait... that isn't a great thing to be thinking about while eating...   :(

I'll offer him a billion dollars, as long as he realizes that I have replaced the meaning of "a billion dollars" with "absolutely nothing and some saltines".

I'm happy because I'm eating a sandwich grilled on a George Forman grill with Corned Beef, Roast Beef, Pepper Jack, and American Cheese on it. It's incredibly tasty.

I didn't have a tux or anything, but wearing two shirts, a tie, and pants in such warm weather was not fun. But, I think that they may have found a way to make me looks slightly less like a hobo in my pictures, which is always a good thing.
