This thread makes me wonder if Jasnah's line about never trying to rediscover something that someone else has worked out for you is a subtle nod to the fandom's tendency to do exactly this...

He also sort of appears as an informant (in book 3, I think) that Vin *almost* gets to talk to before being driven away by a sense of irrational fear, most likely as a result of Ruin slapping a giant spoiler tag on the encounter :P

No matter who wins, I think Vin takes the badass prize for using Jon Snow as a projectile weapon.

No, Hoid is the informant he talks to right *before* talking to the noble.

I'll join you. Hoid is delicious.

I meant steak. Steak is delicious.

I imagine the top of the plains being a very dull, unrelieved dark reddish-brown, with only the occasional rockbud or pile of rocks to break things up. (In my mind the rock formations are just piles of stones and boulders that were brought in and broken up by the highstorms, and cemented together by crem or just jumbled together loosely to be swept away by the next storm.) Down in the chasms would be a completely different story; cool, dark crevasses with water dripping and flowing everywhere, feeding patches of lush, vibrant greenery highlighted by lifespren.

Can I just say that I really admire how you keep working on this thing despite someone having something to add almost every time?  ;D Not a lot of people on the internet would be mature enough to cope with that. Latest version looks fantastic, by the way, I'd hardly change a thing about the basic structure.

As an aside, the word "goggles" starts to look really funny when you type it too much. Goggles goggles goggles...

Psst! You see that lady over there?  What kind of hairstyle does she have?  ;)

*checks* That looks like a bouffant...

I'd say that looks just about right. It's not quite what I'd pictured but I can't find any fault with it compared to the descriptions in the book. :)

I'm liking the idea of a steel misting/gold feruchemist combo. You'd be just about impossible to damage. And how about a combination of an atium misting and a steel feruchemist (physical speed)? Or is that just me wanting to see scenes from the Matrix reenacted in the Mistborn world...

On a side note, who else is excited to see what feruchemical effects the new metals have?

I hadn't thought of that.  I guess if you wait until the series is almost done and film each book back to back then it could be done.  Otherwise half the cast would be dead before you got halfway through.

Working at the kind of pace they'd need to work at to finish all 10 movies in a row, the cast would be dead before they got halfway through anyway.

I guess the spren that were associated  with Surgebinders/the Radiants have  been around a long time, other spren are newer (spawned by the death of the Almighty?)

Or here's a thought, what if the greater spren that bonded with the Radiants somehow lost their power or splintered into the more common spren over the intervening years? That might be why no one ever sees them any more, and it makes a certain amount of sense with how Syl was running around thinking she was a windspren.

I was kind of hoping that Vin would get to take TenSoon in, to balance against Ghost. :) That would've made for a fight at least twice as awesome. But I guess it's not really fair, since TenSoon counts as another character...

Hey, looks fantastic to me. :) One of my favourite things about this thread is how many different takes on Shardplate everyone has. And the best thing is, who's to say you're not all right?
