According to Birgitte, it is much more difficult to leave if you enter through TAR than directly from the real world.

I don't even remember that part.  I just remember it stuck out that they needed to be in TAR for some reason.

I don't envy Brandon's research with these books - just the notes alone would fill their own books.

I'm sure Matt could come up with something though if he entered through the real world hehe.

You are absolutely right about the tower.  I wonder where I got that someone saw it in the dream world?  Maybe it's possible they did.  Some days I just wish I wrote some of these things down but I use WoT Wiki a lot for the research.

"A stone carving the size of her hand, all deep blue curves--it was for growing something.  Not plants.  It made her think of holes only they were not exactly holes.  Only sing the right song!  Some ter'angreal did not require channeling but really! Singing?" pg 343 Book 10

It might have to do with the Ogier but it might also have something to do with the Tinkerers.  I'm interested if it will play a part in anything.

I'm so trying to stay away from these discussions so that I can read the book without expectations.  I can't help myself!

1.  Aviendha will have to get with Rand so that she gets pregnant and we can find out what is so special about her babies.  This will put Min out of the picture for awhile.

2.  Elayne will have her babies.

3.  Gawyn will make it home.

4.  I'm interested in where Perrin will go next - I hope to see Elayne and her mother reunited in this next book.  Of course Morgase will get married again to Tallenvor.

5.  Matt might have to speak with Birgette before going into the towers - he will need the help of a dream walker if I remember correctly of the placement of the towers.  I believe the doors can only be used once and he has used both once.

6.  I hope that the song is found - I know Elayne has some ter'angreal that will make songs and one that can only be opened by a song.  I would imagine it plays a role in the last battle.  I hope that the Tinkerers find closure in this way.

7.  I think Loial is going to do great at the meeting of the stump.  However, this might take awhile and he might be out of the picture.  I think his wife will let him finish his book and take part in Rand's plans.

8.  I hope that the death Rand experiences is the loss of Lews Therin.

9.  Egwene will have the tower but I'm sure it will be later that the seachan end up attacking the tower.  It may be that the attack pushes Egwene into her rightful place and Eladia dies in the attack.

It doesn't matter how big of a part "Adrienne" has in this set of novels is enough to put me on a natural high all day long!  Maybe even all week!

I noticed that on Brandon's twitter page it stated:

# Next, Adam Sampson and Adrienne Hotard.10:49 PM Sep 28th from Twadget

What does this mean?  Does this mean my name will appear in one of the novels?  I could weep for joy if that was the case but I don't want to get my hopes up.

I still want to go into it neutral.  I don't want to think to much into the reviews and prepare myself to be excited or disappointed.  Writing is a work of art and it's impressions will always be different to different people.

I might have to see if I have the willpower to withstand reading the forums before hand.

While I think Inkthinker's drawing is AMAZING that's not how I picture VIN at all.  Even on a rampage she seems smaller to me and more of a feminine (but small build).  Also her not carrying a dagger kinda ruins it for me.

I'm sure once I'm done with my August work rush I'll start a countdown for this novel..

I skimmed over the announcement because there are so many things I hope Brandon can fit into this novel.  I don't want to ruin the suspense.  I love Brandon's writings, I'm so nervous how things are going to turn out with someone new writing this tale.

Matt has lived and died multiple times.  It hasn't ever seemed to me that he was one person but many that were all connected to some type of military and war.  I see in WOT wiki it states:

Mat's memories also raise questions as to the nature of reincarnation through the Wheel; Mat remembers dying, "more times than he could count" (The Fires of Heaven), due to his memories being from many individual lives of adventurers that went to the Aelfinn and Eelfinn, whether through the doorways or the Tower of Ghenjei or perhaps his own previous lives (the books make many references to people being "spun into the pattern" many times, such as Birgitte Silverbow or, obviously, the Dragon Reborn).

1.  Did Kelsier have a tiny bit of metal in him that allowed Ruin to slightly influence him, because a lot of things he did helped out ruin ,like trying to kill the lord ruler, and he had an obsession with killing nobles, etc

I interpreted things differently...

Kelsier's dream of overthrowing TLR came from his wife.  It was not originally his dream.  The books never spoke about Kelsier hearing voices and Ruin was obsessed with finding Atium (his body) which showed up in Vin's burning desire to find it no matter what the cost.

The Kandra.

Yes, they live.

Thank you for that.  That brings me a lot of relief to know that things end up as they should.  I wouldn't think a sacrifice that large would go unnoticed by Sazed.

It's a pleasure seeing you on the boards talking about the topics.  It makes the series a special one for me.

I finished the book about an hour ago.

I adored the book.  It held a lot of surprises for me, a relatively new reader to Mistborn.

I enjoyed the twist that Ruin actually improved on Spook as a person.  The way his character developed was nicely done.  Seeing a person that was so much like Vin (when they first appeared) mature really helped complete the story.

Even though I knew that Vin wouldn't survive a third book (and El without her) I wish that Vin and El could have been around long enough to see everything come to fruition.  It seems a bittersweet end that their legacy wouldn't have been passed on by having children or a picture of Vin able to hold a flower.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Mistborn Book 3 Was In Store Days Before Release!

I'm glad I saw this thread.  I was able to purchase it last night (B&N are WAY overpriced) and am 1/3 of the way finished with the book.  It's frustrating to know I could have picked it up two days earlier then that.

I think Adrienne's point was that Marsh was burning tin.

Yes, this is where Sazed was following Marsh around and Marsh walked directly towards the smell of blood.

I don't see TLR as Alendi due to TLR having terrismen only traits and TLR did have Terris blood.

I'm trying to dig through the Hemalurgy thread slowly but surely as my clock ticks down for the books release :)

Brandon Sanderson / Randon Mistborn Thoughts/Questions

The noblemen are people that are accepted as blessed by the Lord Ruler for supporting him during his rise of power.  Obviously they are not terrismen because he has hunted them to extinction.  Were they perhaps Alendi's traveling companions?

On page 111 of the second book it states:

"Perhaps that was what Marsh had been following; the senses of a man burning tin could be quite acute."

Marsh wasn't a Mistborn he was a seeker who could burn bronze...  Was this part of his change into an inquisitor?

Brandon Sanderson / Re: WOT/Moraine's Letter to Thom

In Knife of Dreams, Thom showed Mat a letter he had received from Moiraine saying she was not in fact dead, but she could only be brought back in a specific way. Thom, Mat, and one other would need to go to the Tower of Ghenjei, to access the realm of the Aelfinn and Eelfinn. Even then, their mission might not be successful. Mat and Thom did not embark on the journey in book 11. To be successful it is suggested that they will have to "cheat." (The only way to win the Snakes and Foxes board game). The idea to cheat would be to use the Strikers for light, Mat's hidden knives for iron, and Thom's voice as music

Taken from WOT WIKI - my first time there looks like a really great site!

Also from there..

“Pillow friends are not just good friends. Oh, they are that, too, but they also get hot and sweaty together and muss up the sheets something fierce. By the way, pillow friends is a term used in the White Tower. The same relationship between men or women elsewhere would be called something else, depending on the country.”
