I'm sure we will, that's not the type of thing that he would leave out, I think it has to get resolved before the end.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Theory on why Vin is so powerful *spoilers*

I don't think he was an inquisitor, for one thing, he describes things too much to have had eye spikes, and from what we know about the conventical, Inquisitors aren't much into aesthetics, but Alendi often describes the terrain.  It's true the piercings could have something to do with hemalurgy, but I think his piercings were more like Vin's than the spikes of the inquisitors.  And from what we know of the diary, he mentioned nothing about hearing voices, so it seems unlikely Ruin was influencing him directly.

I think the magic system in Mistborn may be a little too complicated for a video game, maybe when virtual reality helmets come in, then we'll have a platform to work with.

Definately, Elantris and Mistborn are Prime example of the "new" fantasy that could happen a lot more  if people strayed away from the standard Tolkien variety.  (Not to say I don't like Tolkien, just he set the standard for many fantsy books to come after him, and too many fantsy books these days are just tolkien copies.)

Like I said, it only works if we assume the mists only kill during the day, which reminds me, in the final few chapters when  Vin is releasing Ruin, is it night or day?  I distinctly remember mists killing people at that part, and that could through my whole theory out the window.

A bit hard to apply rules to something we don't fully understand, tisn't it?

That stuff about the inquisitors being able to track VIn through Hemalurgy seems to ring true, but I don't think it's because of Hemalurgy.  In the first book Clubs says something about the Inquisitors canb catch up with all of them eventually.  My guess would be that the Inquisitors use the Bronze spike to see allomantic pulses that are still hanging in the air.   We already know they can see trace amounts of metal everywhere, and pierce copper clouds, so why couldn't they sense old allomantic pulses.  Just a guess of course.

And then you fall victim, to the "just one more chapter syndrom," and end up staying up till one in the morning and reading it when you should be doing you're homework.  I love the avalanche of awesome at the end.

It would be sweet though if, when the third book is done, you talked over some of the theories and such with us.

Interesting theory, I was wondering how the ashmounts were going to play into things, I personally assumed that they were created whenb the lord ruler reshaped the earth.  The way I pictured it, He basically picked up the land where the well, was, and moved it to the center of the empire, and the asmounts were a result of this huge landmass being set down.  I'll have to reread that part about Elend.  Another thing I was wondering about, it do the mists only kill when they come during the day?  Because if it is, the maybe there's a day-night paralell between preservation and ruin.  Preservation-Night-Benevolent Mists, Ruin-Day-Killing Mists.  I'm not sure about it, it's just something that came to mind

I also recently played a game which I think is called Pit, and it was a blast!  It'as all about trading crop cards randomly and trying to get ten of a kind, at least I think it's ten.

Or, perhaps Zane was just a fortunate accident, for the Sprit at least

Again, I can't help but coming back to that lake, with the metallic sheen, it seems to planned to be jsut thrown in for kicks, and I don't think it should be ignored.  I thought it was where the metal that made allomancer came from, but I guess it could also be the alloy.

I am also waiting to see which metal will fill in the circle, but I sometimes think the metal that made allomancers might be separate from the circle.  I also think that it might be, because allomancy is a lot more like a science than a magic system (in it's rules at least) which leads me also to believe that it will be part of the circle.  Confusing stuff, eh??

I want to agree that the only reason that the Inquisitors have allomatic powers is because of the metal Vin gives Elend, and that Hemalurgy does something different, however, the place where that metal was found seemd like a very private and personal place for the lord ruler, and I don't think he would share it.  Besides, the new Inquisitors are made at the conventical of Seran, aren't they?

I just sort of ignored that part for the rest of the book as soon as I realized it was a mistake, and Vin tests Clubs as a smoker later on any way, so it's all good.
