You haven't gotten a Medora chapter in a while (which I'm sure you are thankful for), so I wonder what she's up to? Hmmm.... :D

I definitely need to write more consistently. Anyways, enjoy and eviscerate. There's one part I wrote right now, when I'm really sleep deprived, so I'm thinking you'll hit me hard there. But that's what you are here for!

I really want to just say something and put a potential theory to rest, but I think I'll let you see if you come up with it yourself, so I can smack you. I think I changed the characterization enough so you won't be thinking it, though.

I'm starting the topic for you, Jenn :)

First of all, there are a ton of sweet ideas in this chapter. I'm not sure if they are completely original, but to me, they seem quite original. I'm excited for your book now.

...What can I say? I loved this chapter. Sathain feels so cool. I'm actually okay with the incest, since it wasn't really his choice. There's plenty of conflict surrounding Sathain to make me want to come back. I really want to see what happens next with him and Rachell.

Yeah. I can't really say much else. Good stuff.

Hey, that'd be a pretty cool name for a story. Unfortunately, this submission isn't it, and this submission isn't the story you actually would like to see (like another Rebirth submission). It's not even chapter one.

What is it? Hmmm :) What indeed ;)

One thing is for certain: this is the shortest Reading Excuses submission to date (as far as I know) and by far the most cop-outty.

Come on Dan, the Taiwan cover has defeated the German cover in the scale of awesomeness. However, it looks a bit too much like a crappy hack-and-slash horror or zombie book, what with the graveyard and the red tones.

In this chapter, Tav is disturbed from what he saw earlier in the day, so he stares off into the night. Anxious, he goes to find his friends and talk. Then some other stuff happens. Read on and find out. ;)

Personally, I don't know how well the magic worked during the action. It's going to take me quite a bit of time to get the hang of it.

Reading Excuses / Nov. 2nd - Chaos - Rebirth, Chapter 3

This one went longer than I expected, so it's my longest chapter yet. Probably could have been split, but the viewpoint at the end was rather short to be on its own. I want to keep chapters around 3500 words, but that's by no means truly necessary for the process

Here, we learn more stuff that you're probably wondering about, and most certainly a couple things you weren't! (Example: How sassy can Medora get? The answer lies in this chapter! I apologize in advance.)

Oh, and I also apologize for missing words. There is most certainly a nonzero quantity of those, considering this is the first chapter I've ever written almost all in a day. So imagine this as the raw, director's commentary. Kinda.

...I better go get sleep before I embarrass myself any more :P

Of course, thanks for reading and I eagerly await you ripping it to shreds!

At last, it's done. You'll learn some more about Cerebrance, and some more about my inability to write action (not to mention my glacial writing pace ;) ) You'll also learn why sapphires are cool. Beware, there's violence.

I'm pretty sure I at least finished all the paragraphs this time, unlike that one last chapter. So it can't be that terrible, right?

With extra snappiness to dialogue, and possibly greater subtext.

This final revision is for Writers of the Future, which has its deadline in (eek!) two days. To say this was a rush job is an understatement. So I fully expect there to be missing verbs, and lordy, if there's a truncated paragraph like there was in my last submission, shoot me now ;)

Rest assured, I do not want you to grind through the line-edit level stuff if you are horribly busy. I fully plan to a thorough read-aloud later tonight, but I thought it would be more helpful to get some eyes on it.

Thank you for your help! I owe you guys!

Please be as excruciatingly hateful as possible! :D Though judging by the other versions, I doubt this will be an issue.
