Mountains protecting shin = lake/well/pool of Cultivation's power

Origin of Highstorms = lake/well/pool of Almighty's shard power

Thats my theory anyway.

The Highstorms don't come from the Almighty,  they are from Odium.  I saw Roshar divided into 3 sections.  The far west (Shin) protected/nurtured by cultivation, the central region protected by the Almighty, and the far east the origin of the highstorms destroyed by Odium.  Cultivation's area may have been larger but she was pushed westward when the Almighty died.

Hayley Mcfarland, huh? I think you may have something there.

Yeah, she has those huge doe eyes that just make me want to swoop in on a rope to protect her.  (Where did the rope came from and why am I waiting to swoop?  I have no idea.)  She just has that vulnerability that may just be perfect for Vin.  She looks to have the acting chops too.  She is in Lie to Me on Fox and if you haven't seen it, do.  It is fantastic and she is great (she does have an admittedly minor role tho, so she isn't in every episode.)

JCW's the burger boys has awesome burgers, fries and shakes.  I don't know if there is one in Provo but there is one at Thanksgiving Point just north of Lehi (about 20 miles north of Provo) and you can then swing over to Cabela's and see the cool fish tanks and stuffed trophy animals and do some light shopping.

I hear this all the time.  In the sake of full disclosure, I work in a call center for one of the major telecommunication companies in the U.S.  I hear similar stories multiple times a week.  The thing I hear most is exactly your experience.  The service is great for the 1st few months (usually 5-8 months) and then quickly goes to hell.  And because MagicJack and other VOIP companies are not regulated at all by the FCC (unlike the hard line phone companies who have to maintain a certain standard of service) there is no recourse other than to stop using the service.

Webcomics & Free Stuff / Re: Webcomics suitable for young audiences?

I can't believe I missed this topic.

Sheldon. The Abominable Charles Christopher. Kukuburi (Vet this one first; it's got some "scary" stuff that I think a 5th grader could handle, but it depends on the 5th grader).

I agree with all 3 of these suggestions.  I have been an avid follower of all 3 comics for years.  Sheldon is funny and often sweet.  The art and story lines of of the Abominable CC and Kukuburi are fantastic.  I would add The Dreamland Chronicles.  It has great animation and an engrossing storyline.  I let my 6 and 8 year old sons read it.

The thing is, he is so busy he may not send you anything.  I got White Sand from him in October 2008 and read it immediately.

IT.  IS.  AWESOME.

In December of 2008 I asked for something else and still haven't gotten it.  Not really a complaint, just an observation.  He is writing like 4500 books at the same time, you know.

Of course with Peter running things, I may ask again and things may be different.  He is pretty on the ball.  I would love to get my hands on Scribbler and others.

Peter, when is he planning on the next revision of White Sand?  I have it now and it is awesome.  I can't wait for it to be finished.

How much will the book cost at the BYU Bookstore at the release?  Also, do you think it would be okay for me to ask a him two questions when he's signing my books?

He will usually answer questions but be prepared for a RAFO (read and find out).

I love the idea of Eddie Izzard as Breeze.  and Anton Yelchin could be good as Spook, not my 1st choice, but the best I have heard so far.

Anybody read The Warded Man, b/c I'm thinking of picking it up.

I liked it.  There are a few problems that are not unforgivable when you take in to account this is a 1st book by a new author.  It has a very interesting premise.

I would love to play KOTOR and KOTOR2 but can't.  They aren't compatible at all with Vista.  GRRRRRR.  I have even tried to run them in compatibility mode but no dice.
