Books / Re: Fan Fiction: Good or Evil

I tend to agree about the fanfiction, I have never really gotten into it. However there is one set that I have thought were pretty good. There is a website www.stillflying.net where they have  basically continued to write episodes of Firefly. They have currently finished season one and also done a  season two. However I guess you have to be a fan of Firefly in the first place to enjoy it. I have only read a few, but the ones I read were not too bad.

Robert Jordan had openly said that Taim is not Demandred. That said, I can see many reasons why people would still think otherwise.

I have always questioned this because if you look at his response to the question he actually doesn't say that at all. The question was:

Week 4 Question: At recent book signing following the release of Crossroads of Twilight, it was reported that you confirmed that the Forsaken Demandred has never posed as the man known as Mazrim Taim, who was introduced to Rand at the beginning of Lord of Chaos. Have you confirmed that Demandred has never posed as the man known as Mazrim Taim, leader of the Black Tower?

Robert Jordan Answers: Yes. Demandred has never posed as Mazrim Taim. All right, those of who fell over from the shock of a simple, straightforward answer can get up off the floor now. Sometimes, simple and straightforward can be the most devious of all, as any student of Aes Sedai will tell you. <Maniacal laughter from the shadows!>

Posed is the key word. Demandred doesn't have to pose as Taim if he really is him. just my 2 cents

Brandon Sanderson / Re: How did you find out about Brandon Sanderson?

I was looking for the Alcatraz book today at Barnes and Noble at the Gateway in Salt Lake and couldn't find any. We were getting a book for one of the kids in my wife's primary class and he loves the Harry Potter series so I thought I would get this, but alas I had to settle for something else.

I know I am brand new here, but I read a few posts about MTG. Do you guys play often? I haven't played in years, but I used to love playing. I even had a few really fun decks. Many of my cards have been sold but I still have quite a few, not sure how good of a deck I could get from them though, but I had fun even when I lost.

Most of the people I know think I am a complete nerd and have never even heard of the game. I live in Tooele so if you ever have games and are open to new people, I can get to most places along the SL valley within an hour or so.

Well it appears that I have followed some of the masses after the announcement about Brandon Sanderson finishing the Wheel of Time. I just finished Mistborn yesterday and have become a fan

Anyway my name is Mason and live in Tooele Ut. surrounded by all the fun chemical depots. I am the director of the ambulance service here and am going to school full time for Health Administration.  I don't tend to be a super active poster but I try, it will probably take me a while to get through all of the current topics and posts though.
