Books / Re: What are you reading, part 3

Shadow Rising. I'm re-reading my Wheel of Time. It's been a long time, and I'm amazed at how much I've forgotten, plus how things make more sense now as I've continued with the series.

I enjoyed the movies as well.  For me, though, it didn't seem to fit with the others as well, even Temple of Doom.  The previous three dealt with the mystical were as this one was more sci-fi.  I will still see this one again in a heart beat because, hey! It's Indy!  ;D

I had wondered about this series. I know some people that enjoyed it, but based off your review, it doesn't sound like something that I will be picking up.

Sounds like quite the collection. I am quiet impressed. I'm a little jealous.

I have to admit, I like my toys too. My wife just kinda sighs, shakes her head, and smiles at me when I bring something home.  My nephews love the fact that I have more Transformers and Bionicle sets than they do.  Not to mention the 20 or so Star Wars Titanium vehicles on my bookcase.

Who says you have to grow up?  ;D

So, I gave up on The Knight. I guess Gene Wolfe just isn't for me.

Me either.  How far did you get? I got to chapter 3 before putting it down for something else.

Reading The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart.  I like!!

I gave up reading The Knight for that very reason.  I just couldn't follow the narrator.

I take it you are a big collector of action figures, Ehlers?  What other types do you collect?  Or am I unleashing a can of worms by asking?

James Dashner's 13th Reality.  I'm rally enjoying it.  It's got some good characters and an interesting plot.  I'm fascinated by the science of kwoopy.  Recommended for those who enjoy YA/Children's stories.

I liked Curse of Chalion the best, personally.  Better main character.

There is also an old Golden Book called the Monster at the End of This Book that we really enjoy.
.

Ah...good old Grover.  Can't beat that at all.  Much better than the disappointing sequel There's Another Monster and the End of This Book.  That darn Elmo.  >:(
