Brandon Sanderson / Re: How did you find out about Brandon Sanderson?
« on: December 20, 2007, 08:52:12 PM »
I knew Brandon from church when Elantris was published.  Always being on the lookout for new books, and wanting to support someone I knew, I picked it up and gained a new favorite author.  Now if only the books came out faster...   :)

Actually, I got lucky.  When I picked up the books I found out that the employees had gotten my books signed anyway.  Thanks all for your help though!   :)

Well that's frustrating.  I told them what was supposed to happen, and the girl at the counter even took down my name for that purpose.   Oh well, I'll have to bring them the next time Brandon is in the area.  Any clue when that might be?

Right.  Knew i was forgetting something.  :)   The full name is Kobin Bingham, and there might be two (one of my friends is a recent fan and asked me to get one for her...).  Just  a signature and number will be fine for that one.  By the way, what is your name, just in case i can break away during that time period?

5
Probably just "To Kobin" and what ever else he feels like.  I've always felt dictated personalizations were a little fake.

Is there anyway I can solicit your help also?  I made the pre-order, but then realized I had already committed my Saturday evening.  I could pay for the book earlier that day, but I really was hoping to get it signed and numbered.  Any aid or suggestions you could offer would be great.  (or if someone else could help out...)

Do you have to reserve a spot for the pary, or can you just show up?  If you do need a reservation, how do you get one?

Yeah, i can see that.  Still, i have to say i'm wondering how they good guys are going to manage to win.  And where is the God-King through all of this?  You think he'd have something to say about not being allowed to see his wife.

because he's the bold.  He tends to act a lot more than he thinks.

So you have to make a post to see hidden things?

Hello all.  First time posting, long time lurking.  I'm loving the book, but I just wanted to note:  from what we've seen of nightblade, i'd have expected him / it to do a LOT more damage than it did in this fight.  How was it taken out?  Who was the awakener here?  None of the Mercs (as far as I remeber) have ever shown that ability.  Did someone just use an awakened 'something' to grab it from whoever should have been killing everyone around them?
