You mean to tell me that a team of researchers exists that has both created a working gene therapy virus and also identified the genetic cause of aging, and they're sitting on it? No, I'm sorry. You're talking about a pair of holy grails. Instant fame, fortune if you're smart. Ain't nobody sitting on that.

IF and thats a big if, they(the governments) did actually identify those 2 things they WOULD sit on them because if people stopped dying overpopulation and food shortages would be a real concern. maybe if only to cure diseases fine but extended life as in more than 100 years of extra life would be too much for the life cycle on this planet.

My brain hurts trying to boggle this one out. I read B.S.s explanation of postmodernism and thought it made sense, then all these other posters are replying with: "that's not what it means" and "it means this illogical over-thought answer"

Agent Elrond~ "Welcome to Rivendale,...Mr. Sanderson."
Boromir~ "One does not simply cowbell into Postmodernism."

I dunno, i just made these up and these up and thought someone may think they are funny.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Recommend a book

I got a real kick out of the dark adaptation of Pride and Prejudice (and zombies). Also Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter we a pretty good read being completely far fetched but interesting.

I also recommend any B.S. book out there. I've read elantris, mistborn 1 & 2 , and currently on 3. soon to read WOT: Towers of Midnight. mistborn 1 is my favorite so far.

Well, in the Mistborn series, the Inquisitors and Nobles have skaa killed for next to nothing in the first book at least until book 2. But yes the majority of the time those 3 rules apply to almost all civilized cultures not based around slavery of some type.
