You know what I'd like to know? I wonder if there's any correlation between Kalad in Warbreaker and Kaladin in The Way of Kings. There's only a two letter difference...

Urban fantasy with a necromancer hero? And pizza? Pizza with the Devil is my guess.

Someone will publish this.

Like it's under contract or it's so awesome that someone will for sure take it?

Peter, do you know if this is something Brandon is hoping to publish or is he going to post this online? If he doesn't get it published (like the others at this point in time), what are the chances that we online will see it?

So now it has "Pizza" in the title... I hope that's just a goofy placeholder title and there's an amazingly epic one to be released soon.

Scribbler, Dark One, King's Necromancer, and...? There's one more I know about but that's a short story, and then there's that other thing...and that other thing...one of which may be what he's working on now, but it may be something completely new.

Wasn't there also Steelheart?

I thought I heard somewhere that book two was going to be called The Highprince of War, or something like that, so wouldn't that apply to Sadeas?

Okay, so now Brandon says he's done things (secret projects) like this before, and of the five or so he's done only one's made it to print. If that is Alcatraz, I wonder what the other four are...

There's now a meter on Brandon's website for Super Secret Project Mark II. If he's already 18% done with it, I don't think it could be novel-length...

But this is Brandon, after all. You never know.

Didn't he say at the Seattle reading (or somewhere) that he wrote 600 words of a Mistborn short story on the plane? Maybe it's something related to that.

@Peter:

So is it true that Scribbler is going to be published by Tor next year? Is this what Brandon's going to work on during his WoT break?

None are under contract but editors are interested.

So Pain of Glass hasn't been picked up by a publisher yet?

Instead he has a horror series in mind that his publishers will want.

Is that the "big book proposal" Dan mentioned today (http://www.fearfulsymmetry.net/?p=638)?

Neither Karen nor I think that title relates to the story. :)

Well, I guess one of the editors could change it. Wasn't I Don't Want to Kill You originally titled Full of Holes before Moshe asked him to pick a new one?

Pain of Glass is a bad pun. It might fit a Xanth book but it would make a horror story all the more offensive.

I agree. That's kind of why I asked if it was final or not. I was really hoping it'd end up being something as cool as IANASK or EM:AE, something that'd make me stop in a bookstore and go, "That sounds cool!" Still, it may end up having some huge significance to the story that we just don't understand because we haven't read it.

I think Extreme Makeover: Apocalypse Edition sounds amazing. Will Pain of Glass get a title change, or is that the final title? Will it be published by Tor as well?
