KELL: John Lennox

He was my theatre professor last semester and he actually told me about Mistborn. He'd be absolutely perfect.  ;D He worked on the indie movie The Model Father and DOG - www.doghorrormovie.com - for some reason I keep reading Mistborn and I keep seeing him as Kell....

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Spook's Eastern Slang

second instance of spook speak

"Lestibournes."

"Not of the yetting yet."

first is his name, second means- not yet, or I don't have a nickname yet.

Third instance

"Wasing the place when I was young."

-I lived there when I was young, or something similar.

Valkyn:

1. Maybe Spook is saying something like - Not of the Getting yet.

3. WasinG the place I was born. (He's speaking about the Eastern slang. I know that when people have speaking issues the G sound comes out a lot like a Y. Hope that helps, and of course I'll be pouring over Brandon's annotations.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: How did you find out about Brandon Sanderson?
« on: June 10, 2009, 10:58:56 PM »
My theatre professor and I were on Facebook one night and he was like, "I have a reading suggestion for you," so of course I asked what that was, and he said the Mistborn trilogy. I had never heard of Brandon Sanderson previously, and honestly fantasy wasn't a genre that really interested me before. I figured that my professor must know what he's talking about if he recommended them to me. I did a background check on B&N as I am prone to do and Mistborn sounded exciting and well worth investigating. After controlling my rabid excitement about having someone I so respect give me a reading suggestion, I asked him if he'd actually ever read them, to which he said yes, he had read up to the second book and said that HoA was coming out soon (this was somewhere around the end of March.) And advised me to buy the paperback rather than the hardcover because it would be cheaper.

Brandon Sanderson / Inspiration for Vin?
« on: June 02, 2009, 03:45:29 AM »
Hi Brandon:

Where/who was the inspiration behind Vin? My professor says that he recommended your books to me because Vin reminded him a lot of me, and so I was curious...

Best, Ellie
