I like it. :D But, the writing is covering the sword and the flag. That's irritating me. :P

I like the whole sentient idea. But I think it would be cool if Hoid somehow "knew" Adonalsium or of it's power or something of the like. And he's planet hopping trying to put it all together to have magnificent awesomeness ensue.
Kind of like Kagome and Inuyasha searching for Shards of the Shikon Jewel, perhaps?
Go InuYasha. :D

I like your idea as well. :D

There are three confirmed shards and their names.  He told the fans that stuck around at one of the signings about the shard that will be in WoK.  And since I'm not sure if it is okay or not to share, I won't say what the shard is, or what attribute is attached to it, but I feel safe in saying that Brandon said it is the most dangerous shard we will meet.  (Or at the very least have met so far.  We are of two minds about which it is.)

Well, if Brandon shared it with you, you should be able to share it with us. ;)

Finally got around to finishing a piece I had started months ago. Not a literal scene from the book, but I think it captured the feeling I wanted pretty well. So here's Vin in her shirt and trousers before she got a Mistcloak , with a creepy Inquistor stalking her. I also decided to go with more of the amber colored night time from the ashfall, rather than the blue I had been using lately.

Really nice. Just one thing: Vin could be shorter. She's mentioned as small and diminutive in the book.

I'm sure this has probably been asked already, but what happens when Gateway meets Cuendillar (I think I spelled that right...)?

It's believed that the True Power (from the DO) can destroy cuendillar. So, if the Gateway is made by the TP, then it will slice it. But, if it's made by the OP, then I predict it would either push it away, or, if it is large, contour to the shape of the cuendillar.

Here's my theory on Hoid. :P

I shall assume Adonalsium was sentient. For all intents and purposes, let's compare it to a crystal. A sentient, magical crystal. When Adonalsium was "broken" into shards, however that may have happened, the sentience of the crystal was not. It carried through to each shard, and on each planet the shard is on, the sentience of the crystal manifests itself in the civilizations. These manifestations are Hoid.

Poke holes in as you will. :D

I think the Illinois case is shocking. But, zinc. Well, that's interesting.

I think in any battle with Feruchemists, it depends on how much stores they have.

Many people think it's better to read New Spring in the order it was written—after Crossroads of Twilight and before Knife of Dreams. Otherwise some of the character development in the series will seem a bit overshadowed.

I agree with this. You'll appreciate the history of New Spring more if you read it between CoT and KoD. At least, I did.
