Everything Else / Star Wars and pants.
« on: June 13, 2007, 05:12:17 PM »
I saw this on another thread. And promptly stole the idea. Because I wanted to see we can come up with on this site.

So, it works like this, you take a quote from the holy trilogy, or the other 3 Star Wars movies and exchange one word (only one) with pants. Then the next person must say who was the original quotee and from which movie.

"Slimy? Mudhole!? My pants this is!!!"

Video Games / Starcraft 2 [Rumored..... NO MORE!!!] ;D
« on: February 07, 2007, 12:01:25 AM »
http://pc.ign.com/objects/850/850126.html

Apparantly Blizzard let it on (according to IGN) that they might be working on Starcraft 2.

Personally, this was my favorite RTS of all time for its day (I like more now, but not as much as I liked Starcraft then)

So, I can only hope that this is true as I feel kinda jaded that they did a second Warcraft theme (that I don't even play) before going back to Starcraft.

I am very stoked at this possibility.   :D

Rants and Stuff / What I learned from being dead.

Some of you may have noticed I dissapeared. I changed careers and was forever in the pit of despair of taking tests and stuff.

Unfortunately, I passed all of them and now I can come back and read all your great posts!!  :)

Movies and TV / Transformers The Movie!  (again)
« on: July 16, 2006, 09:09:29 PM »
I did some quick searches, they said it is going to be live action.

Hmm.. I wish they would have showed one of the robots during the trailer at the beginning of Pirates 2.

Anyone have links to such?

Everything Else / Ha Ha Ha, I am wicked awesome.
« on: June 29, 2006, 08:10:54 PM »
I fixed/re-wired my burned electrical from a bad fog lamp switch (it shorted, caused a small fire), unhooked, lubricated and re-ran my noisy speedometer cable, and took apart my entire steering column to tighten it up and while I was in there I figured I might as well change the color of my dash lighting, so I did.

Worst part is it was 95 or whatever degrees outside. But that is ok!, 'cause, I love cars.

I am freakin' amazing. No wonder my wife loves me so much.

Video Games / Xenosaga
« on: May 04, 2006, 03:28:48 PM »
I am wondering, I am finishing Xenosaga I for the second time around, and has anyone played II?

My wife enjoys watching RPG's, and she is getting hooked on I, so I figuered I would grab II even though I wasn't planning on it earlier.

Anyway, I noticed no one has a review. I guess i could make one if people are interested, since III (the final installment of this particular series) was recently announced.

Movies and TV / Everything I need to know...
« on: April 26, 2006, 05:41:00 PM »
Since this post is movie related I thought I would put it here. I was looking up something from a movie I watched recently and the thought occured.. I want to hear what things everyone has learned from movies! We each watch enough that we ought to have learned something!

This is a great opportunity to show what you have learned from all of those really really bad to really really good, but nonetheless slightly ridiculous, movies you have watched in your life. If possible, try to give a reference.

-Even if a laser will have no effect on you, you should run away from it, just in case.
  "Prince of Space".

-Commies hate rock and roll.
-Girls, if you really want to impress a guy, stick your gum to his glasses.
  "Six String Samurai"

-There are fates worse than death
"The Star Wars Christmas special" "Manos, Hands of Fate" "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians"

-You can swim and hold your breath in space
  "Titan A.E."

-English is the language of choice for any respectable and intelligent species.
-This is the not-so-secret reason why every American should own a gun.
-Just because a spaceship is airtight, it may not be waterproof.
-Paper airplane technology comes only after rifling and shells.

-Concentrated evil should probably not be kept in something easily breakable, such as glass.

Everything Else / Photoshop, HTML and Flash web developer.
« on: April 26, 2006, 02:31:46 PM »
I need a web developer for a position in Orem, UT.

Someone who can do the three things in the topic to create good looking websites for different clients.

Ideally this person will have experience dealing with customers and clients as well as creating previous websites. This is a very entry level position. The person needs to be able to work full-time, a recent college grad is ideal.

The pay is $30-$40K a year. If you know anyone who is looking for a good entry level job in the field of web design and graphic arts, please let me know.  Thanks guys.

(I am just doing this here because we really need someone right away and most of you are college grads who might know someone otherwise I wouldn't bug you guys with things like this.)

Video Games / Rampage: Total Destruction.
« on: April 24, 2006, 03:40:41 PM »
For those of us who remember back on the original Nintendo and Sega systems the great old classic is back! Rampage, you know.. the one where you are a monster and bent on destroying a city.

My friend and I rented and beat the game in one night.. we got sick of it halfway through due to the fact that, if you die it is because you didn't touch the controller for 5 minutes and although it was terribly fun to destroy the city and eat the people and all, it lost it's novelty after about 20 minutes. But we decided that since we had invested the time and money we might as well see the ending.

Due to the fact that the video shows the exact same style of gameplay as the old ones and the fact that it is being released at $19.99 I imagine it will be the exact same as before.

I will probably rent it, since I have a friend at the local Blockbuster and I can do so for free, just to relive memories. I thought I would bring it up in case anyone else remembers the old game and would like to see it brand new.

Books / Your guide to Harry Potter Book 7!
« on: April 21, 2006, 01:27:56 PM »
I've given this a lot of thought, and I think  I know exactly what is going to happen in Book 7....

Ok, so, over the summer Ron, Harry and Hermoine have been out having adventures and during this time Harry and Hermoine get married, Hermoine is pregnant at the beginning of the book and they begin their search for Voldemort. Harry starts seeing dreams where Hermoine dies in childbirth and Harry begins to lose it. Voldemort appears to Harry and tells him he can teach him how to keep Hermoine from dying using the dark side of the magic. Slowly, Harry begins to see things only in a sense of power and the sides of good and evil become shaded. Harry then, under Voldemorts command, takes out the 1st year students at Hogwarts. Ron tells Hermoine what happened and she turns away from Harry, who, in turn finds and tries to kill Ron, and accidently causes the death of Hermoine that he has been seeing in his dreams. He and Ron fight and Harry is beaten and Ron goes into hiding. Harry and Voldemort track down and kill the rest of the wizards. Thus the ministry of magic is destroyed and the new government rules the muggles with fear and power.

The end.
