Brandon Sanderson / Scribbler - 2011
« on: August 25, 2010, 11:39:43 PM »
@Peter:

So is it true that Scribbler is going to be published by Tor next year? Is this what Brandon's going to work on during his WoT break?

Dan Wells / Pain of Glass and Nightbringer
« on: June 19, 2010, 03:56:08 PM »
Hello! I have two quick questions that I was hoping someone could answer. Yes or no will do fine, but details would be nice.

1) On Dan's Twitter, he said, "Guess what, manuscript I've been revising for months: PWND. The latest draft of my new book, PAIN OF GLASS, is done and sent to my editors." Since he's sent the manuscript to his editors, does that mean it's been bought by a publisher?

and

2) I read on the comments section of the blog post "A Whole Nother Book: Literally" (http://www.fearfulsymmetry.net/?p=338), Dan said, "Nightbringer will still happen, Iím just stopping to write [Extreme Makeover: Apocalypse Edition] first." Does that mean he plans on writing Nightbringer next or just at some point in the future?

Thanks for taking the time to look at this. Dan's books are amazing and I'll be excited for whatever he decides to publish!

Brandon Sanderson / The "Surprise Inside"
« on: April 02, 2010, 12:49:04 AM »
For those of us not lucky enough to obtain the signed copies of Brandon's books he leaves in airports, what is the surprise he puts in one of them?

He just Tweeted that he's placed a surprise in a Warbreaker paperback in an airport, and I believe it's at least the second time he's done so (though the first time was in a hardcover The Gathering Storm).

Any answers?

Brandon Sanderson / 2011
« on: February 20, 2010, 03:00:32 AM »
So...I saw a video on YouTube that was a Q&A with Brandon. In it he said that there would more than likely be NO Brandon Sanderson solo book in 2011 because of A Memory of Light. I've heard nothing to the contrary so far.

Granted, I'm a new Brandon Sanderson reader, but I'm already in love with his work. I'm very excited to read The Way of Kings when it comes out, as well as anything else he will publish in the future.

However, I'm curious: If Brandon wrote (or rewrote, I should say) The Way of Kings in 4 months, couldn't he theoretically do that with another one of his previous works, like White Sand, and publish that in 2011?

I understand that writing a novel takes a tremendous effort on the part of the author, and I am amazed at Brandon's skill and speed. I also respect his decision to focus on A Memory of Light. However, I'm just curious to know whether or not he plans to do that or publish something else in 2011.
