Everything Else / Re: Cool Stuff Found on the Internet, again

If you want to see what a real Tasmanian Devil looks like, check out this link.....

I was in the States last year and everyone kept asking me if they were just like loony tunes made them out to be.  Yes they are nasty little buggers and I've had to share a tent with one before (you guys have bears after your food, we have the Tassie devil helping himself to ours). They have the strongest jaw for their size and only feed on carion, still I wouldn't want to suprise one.  However, they don't spin around fast and demolish everything in their path.  Unfortunately most of our 'wild' population are contracting a deadly facial tumour and while research is currently being done to find out what, where and how of this disease, it's looking grim.  Pretty soon it'll only be ones in the parks that can be seen.

Not to unusual and hopefully not enough for your brother to shoot down either.  Good luck with it all.
We named one of our daughters Xanthe and she loves it.  She writes her initial everywhere because she likes how it resembles a treasure map....

Everything Else / Re: Marriage-A Luxury Item

Shouldn't the title say "Married after 20 years and not Divorced - A Luxury Life?"

Personally I've been married almost 10 years, have been in love with my husband since I was 12 (I'm 33 now), and still love him now more than ever before. And while I 'could' imagine a life without him, I don't want to.

The fact we both went to university (he's an Engineer, I'm an accountant) but now are classed as a low income family, unfortunately was our choice.  It was either a case of let the family business close or sacrife to join in and keep it going. Gluttons for punishment maybe.  Happy? Extremely!

Hi, I'm Rachael Koop.  I was bored at work and happened upon your website (yes I was slacking).  It tickled my fancy so I thought I'd join.  Trust me I'm opinionated.

Well I live in Tasmania (yes we do have Tasmanian Devils and no they don't spin around!) I have 3 daughters and 2 permanent foster sons, so I have no common sense, what is worse is they are 8,7 and 5.  While this doesn't add up - it means I have three 5 year olds.  Can't get much worse can it.

Pre-children I was a fraud investigator for a bank but now apart from housework and slacking of at my husbands business, my life is pretty much like being a taxi driver.

Why am I here............

The person below me still thinks dressing like Madonna in the 80's is cool. Dedicates their lives to only listening to 80's music and is still practicing to dance like Michael Jackson

sorry haven't seen the sphere. interesting perhaps i'll have to pop out and hire it just to watch.

but just to expand the idea a little what if the incas, egyptians and the mayan were visited by aliens and given the required knowledge but the aliens were us just distantly in the future.  what if all alien encounters were just humans popping back in time to have a sticky beak.......

probably not an original idea......

I saw this and loved how twisted it was.

I'm so in love with Johnny Depp (please don't tell my husband) and the sight of a dozen of him on screen at the one time was enough to keep me going for a while.

I believe that they have left it open for a fourth installment and to be honest.  I just can't have enough of Jack.  I would have like to have seen more of Keith Richards though.

« on: July 05, 2007, 04:29:15 AM »
My husband and I snuck away from this kids on the weekend to see this movie.  I'd seen some trailers and just about wet my self.  My husband was die-hard Transformers fan when he was a kid and was just as eager.  I must admit I came out of there feeling like a little kid.

I loved the amount of action and comedy in it.  The special effects were unbelievable and the acting was bad either.  Needless to say we are taking the kids it this weekend and I'm just as excited about seeing a second time as I was about the first.

Go Optimus Prime! When I was six I had a crush on him (weird heh! - a crush on a robot.....still twisted)

I have an idea for a book that has been bugging me for a while....I keep tossing the idea around in my head to come up with how to start it.  Generally it's about the Roswell crash.  What if it was true, not a new idea you are asking, but what if now that we have DNA testing available, a test was done on the alien found near the crash site. What if that DNA test showed that it was of human origin. What if this "alien" is actually us in a couple of thousand years after a little more evolving and for some strange reason this "alien" had discovered a porthole that landed him into 1957.

I don't know. It probably can't go anywhere but it's just something I've just had to get of my chest.  If you have an opinion please feel free.  For all I know someone has already thought of this and already written a book.
