Kadaj is definitely a guy. Though when my nephews and niece saw the movie, they thought he was a girl too. It was quite amusing.

So, back on topic... I didn't realize the first curator could have been his dad. That's really cool. I can't imagine they get new curators that often...

I'm pretty sure things are going to get a whole lot crazier in these later books, since the over arching plot was said to be more apparent in the next book?

I still think he's gonna break the world spire.

Five are planned, I believe, though last I heard he was only contracted for four. Meaning there'll prolly be five.

The thing about the incarnate wheel is that it's described, but we don't get to see it. Which side is possibility? Which side is identity? Where on the circle are Time, Space, Matter, and Knowledge?

I bet there's going to be more about why Bastille was set up to fall. And yes, I think it was done on purpose. I'm also not sure about the Knights in general, although that's because we haven't met any of them but Draulin and Bastille.

I'm guessing there will be politics and government leader whatnots in the 3rd book. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Worldspire they saw in book 2 breaks. End of the world, anybody? :D

Brandon Sanderson / Re: On Feruchemical 'Mistings'

Well, there are two mists in Mistborn Prime. It could be like that.

Hey this is my first post and I'm not sure where to post it. I am also not sure if this has been talked about already, but this question has been killing me since finishing HoA. Who are the men that fall out of preservation and ruins mists. Are they people who have taken the power previously? ( if i remember correctly..The man of small stature, prominent nose, and dark hair..and the red headed guy Sazed dose not recoginize)

It has been mentioned previously in this thread. Mostly, it's a Read And Find Out (RAFO)

I'm pretty sure one of the Kandra (Ten Soon or OreSeur) would have mentioned it, since they both wore his bones...

Yes, that was the alphabet going back to older font type, effectively. The symbols actually revert to older versions in each book, being the most modern in the first.

Research causes cancer.

I wonder if the effects are similar to tapping speed in Feruchemy, or whether it more affects those immediately around you; slowing them down or something.

I think it has been mentioned once before... Couldn't tell you where...

As for my opinion, I really couldn't say; if they were instructions, how do you interpret them? Marsh mentions there are a variety of places  you can put a spike, but they have to be exact. (HoA p. 292-3) Specifically he says "There were some two or three hundred bind points across a human's body." (292) How would you get that information from crescents, dots, and spikes?

I think I started well, but then all hell broke loose. :( I haven't even cleared 10K.  :'(

I did, however, learn that 2K per day is possible for me (assuming all hell doesn't break loose. :P ) So overall a good experience for me; I just don't think I'll be able to get out 40K in a few days. Especially when I have places I need to be most of those days.  :-\

Brandon Sanderson / Re: If Mistborn was a movie. . . .

I think it should be more on the unknowns, myself. Maybe one or two big names, but the budget would go up dramatically every name you added.

Big writing chunk! 2466 words! If I can do that every time I write, then I can afford to miss a day now and then. 8)

I could see in the mistings and feruchemists and whatnot having to be registered by the government.

It's all in the storytelling. Having editors helps with that. But what I've noticed in Brandon's books (and also in Terry Pratchett's books) is that little things are there for a reason. It's that attention to the details that makes a difference.  Small things in the beginning that the reader ignores but by the end are found to be important details.

That's helped a lot by multiple drafts. We got to see it in Warbreaker; the final version (and even that's not completely final) went through 6 + drafts to get there; that gives the author time and feedback and all that to add in all those little details and clean up the unnecessary clutter.
