Hmkay, well it was a thought. I'm hoping for MB2 to have a few weeks cushion around HP7.

Uhm, Brandon? I know you have the July release date... but what day exactly?

Jk Rowling is slated for 07.07.07 to end the Potter series. :/ That could be really bad for your book's sales if they come out very close together. Just a head's up! The next HP movie is also due out 07.13.07. It's a busy month for Rowling...

It all sounds a little complicated to me, to be honest xD

Ahh I loved Pullman's work too. You should check out Robin Hobb's The Farseer Trilogy if you've liked both Pullman and Sanderson (though its one of those series that grabs your gut and won't let go!)

And I think this is exactly what the boards are for xD I just showed up here about a month ago with the same exact thoughts. I'm a dedicated fan now! :D Welcome!

That's true. I don't think that's a trade-off I'd be willing to make.

Which reminds me, are all stewards, inquisitors and obligators men?

Now that's an interesting thought... I think I'm going to have to chew on it for awhile. I'm not totally convinced that super speed-of-light would be better than a few seconds of foresight.

Thanks for the notes brandon. :) Didn't know the names malatium and electrum either!

I would venture to say they can't use atium the way Allomancers can. How can you store up visions of the future? You could store up history though, like gold.

I'm sticking with Allomancy!

Ah ha! It's part of the map, I see! Thanks! How awesome that he named them for his friends. :)

I feel sort of bad asking this but I'm looking for the names of all the Houses in Mistborn. I know Venture and Elariel but can't remember (nor spell) the others. Is there a list somewhere?

Oh, yes I see how that works out well for both of you :) Good idea! I'm quite enjoying my time here.

The concerns expressed above are the reason why I wanted to create a conservative RP first so we can see how it fares. Siri, the other member, and I have talked about placing it a few centuries before Kelsier and his crew. Thus although we know they're doomed to fail it should keep people from god-moding and doing silly things.

Brandon, I couldn't be more grateful that you are a new author. I've been RPing for the last 11 years online and getting things setup can be slow, as you've said. I know quite a few different ways to recruit and I'm drawing up some basic charts as we speak to help orient the newbies. I am ambitious enough to hope to attract non-readers to the site. :)

I would love it if you came by! Especially once we have more members. I'll push hard these next few weeks to see who I can attract. I completely understand your legal dilemma though.

What's TWG?
