So I met my boyfriend gaming. We each have two characters. One of his characters is about to get killed, in part because one of my characters insisted upon it. My other character loves his character that is about to get killed because she makes fun of him all the time. His other character hates my other character and they scheme to get the better of each other frequently. I have more connections with my roommate's character than my boyfriend's, since we play the same character type in the same group. So really, there isn't any favoritism with my boyfriend and I. We help each other when it calls for it (and then out of character say "you owe me") and we back stab each other when it calls for it (and say out of character "I'm sorry hun!!") But I defiantly see favoritism happening, and see how it can, easily, happen. We try really hard not to do that, which I think is why people haven't gotten annoyed with us like they do most. In addition my boyfriend GM's a game I play in, and there isn't any favoritism... except that he let me make a new character at the last minute instead of the usual week time frame for submitting characters, but he does that for others as well.

I guess all that was just to say, I think I'm lucky to be part of an atypical gamer couple, and I love gaming with him. 

I really like Runaways. I'm studying to be an English Teacher and we had to get various books and book types and develop lesson plans to teach the students and get them interested in different types of literature. I did a report and series of lesson plans on this. Through this I actually got a bunch of my peers and students to read it, and they also really liked it. I think it appeals to a younger crowd, which makes it great for schools.
I have actually been looking for the second volume the last couple weeks but they are sold out wherever I look and I'm refusing to buy it online, so I'll just continue to impatiently wait.

I saw the movie twice, once with friends the day after it came out, and again with my boyfriend who is a HUGE fan of the comic.
We all liked it. Sure there were definitely things to criticize, but it was entertaining. There were cliches all over the place, and the fights with the bad guys made us go... huh? but I think that Nick Cage and the other actors all did a good job and I had a good time. It was a fun movie.

I thought the movie was cute, but the ending was a bit trite. I agree that it resolved just way too quick and easily. The music was really the highlight for me.

Im not so sure I see Orlando becoming like Cary Elwes...
I thought the sword fights in this were kind of lacking. Lets see how many crazy wacky things we can do while trying to have a sword fight!
Hamster wheels, climbing things, too much focus on the running around part of it, and not enough on the actual swordplay.
The first movie had the crazy run around do wierd stuff, but they showed skill with a sword, I dont think this one did that.
But thats just my opinion.

Oo, me too? Can you please tell me what happened at the credits? My friends dragged me out of there before I got to see it. Thanks!!
