I really don't know anything about the probability of life on other planets and such, but believing that God created not only this world, but the whole universe (or in some way organized the matter of the universe that may have already existed into a livable world for his children to live on), I believe that if there is life on other planets, He created that life as well. It's not like life will spontaneously begin to exist on other worlds without His knowledge of it. This is of course coming from a religious point of view. If there were no god, then I could see life possibly evolving elsewhere, but since I believe that there is a God, I also believe that all life comes from Him. Therefore, he may have placed some of his children on other planets. I don't know. But if he did, I do not believe that they will ever visit us (as aliens). Of course, this is just a personal belief with no hard evidence.

When you posted the prices, did you consider the cost of exporting these vehicles to the US? Or did you just convert them from the prices posted on the site. It seems like if they had to be exported, the price would be much higher unless they manufactured them here. Right?

Honestly, I could care less about what happens to the Sci-Fi Channel. It seems like they've just been going down hill. For example, they had a great show in the Dresden Files, but gave up on it after only a half season just because they didn't publicize it enough (despite get quite a few viewers--only slightly less than BSG). It bugs me when they have non-sci fi type shows (like wrestling), and B-movie crap that I can't believe is still made. Neither my husband or I have watched that channel since Stargate Atlantis finished (and that was only my husband. I've never been much for the Stargate shows). So yeah, could care less. They seem to have been digging a hole for themselves for years.

Yeah, well, my main problem is the conflict was for nothing. So I guess I agree with you, but I'm not familiar with that term.

I was hoping that someone else took over the 9th wonder series. After all, many who have the ability to draw the future, draw it in the same comic-book way (i.e. Arthur's pictures from the last episode. Exactly the same style as Isaac's drawings, and I believe Peter's were too). I too was like, "What?! Those were supposedly done by Isaac before he died! Come on."

Well, Shrain, on the bright side, maybe they'll find a better place that they would rather live in. If they'd stayed and there were a mold problem (and it wasn't fixed by the landlord), that could cause major unneeded health problems for them. Uck! I feel sorry for the next renters who will probably have no idea of the potential mold.

But yeah, sometimes I hate landlords. That's why I like where I live. I hate that our managers treat us like crap (like we're not the ones that make them money each month), but at least when there is something wrong, they fix it right away (because maybe we're unimportant, but their properties are they're money makers, and they want to keep them presentable). What I really love is how once a year or so, they'll send us flyers in the mail offering their services as realtors, in case we decide to buy a home rather than continue to rent. As if!

With phone interviews, make sure when you talk to them on the phone that there is mirror near by so you can see what your facial expression is. If you're smiling, it will come across in your voice. A lot of what people look for isn't just what you know, but whether you'd be a pleasant person to work with.

And of course think about how you'd answer the standard questions:

Why do you want to work here?
What are your strengths and weaknesses?
Tell me a little about yourself. (I hate that one. I never know what to say.)
What makes you stand out from other candidates? (Or why should we choose you and not someone else?)

Also, if you have a description about what the job entails, make sure you bring out what they're looking for in that position, and have examples of how you have what they're looking for. For example, if they want someone experienced in InDesign, make sure to talk about when you've worked with InDesign in the past, and be specific. Make sure to have an example of each point in your mind so you're more likely to draw on those experiences throughout the interview.

Also, LDS employment (http://www.providentliving.org/channel/0,11677,1703-1,00.html) has really good tips including "Me in 30 Seconds" statements (http://providentliving.org/content/display/0,11666,5946-1-3039-1,00.html). These can really sound impressive in an interview. I hope that helps someone!

That was a very well-written review--one I would expect to read in a publication (though they might have to cut for length). I really enjoyed reading it. I wasn't planning on seeing the movie anyway, but it's nice to know I won't be missing anything.
