Rants and Stuff / Re: More Grumpiness
« on: August 24, 2005, 05:29:13 PM »
I'm grumpy becuase I'm in a class with two other people.  Two of us want to change the meeting time to something more convenient, but the third is refusing to agree because, oh boo hoo, she's already arranged her car pool.  Well tough!  If we don't change the meeting time, I might have to quit my job (and its a good one, an excellent first move in my City Planning career).

I win!

The Tucson-Pima Public Library Network has TEN copies.  One of which is in my possession.  I just finished part 1 last night and am loving it!

Many of you knew my wife, Adrianne, when she was at BYU and working on Leading Edge.  She just wanted to let all of you know that our beautiful daughter, Lorelai Anne, was born on August 12 at 1:11 in the morning.  Both mother and daughter are doing well and came home from the hospital yesterday.

It probably says something about me that I always end up getting sent links to the disturbing stuff.

Am I sick for refreshing this page again and again and again...?   Oh well, it's still funny as hell

I found this on Wikipedia.  Ain't the web a great resource?

In 2002, Eragon was released by Paolini International, LLC, his parents' publishing company. He then toured 130 western schools, discussing reading and writing---all the while dressed in a red swordsman's shirt, black pantaloons, and lace-up boots.

Didn't I hear somewhere that Christopher Paolini's parents are in the publishing business?  I've heard that one of the reasons he got published was due to his parents' connections.  I could be wrong, though.  It's been known to happen before.
