Big news!  Over at Fear the Boot we've just launched a new webcomic written by Shamus Young from DM of the Rings (which every gamer should read if you haven't) and Shawn Gaston from Doors and Windows (which a lot of folks here read a few years ago).

It's called Chainmail Bikini and I think it'll have something for just about everyone who's ever gamed.

Check it out, yo!  ;D

Thanks, Sprig.

Palladium books always have great settings.  I can't stand the rules at all and find all manner of crunch horrendous.  That said, they are always cheap books and full of enthusiasm.

Okay, you all know I'm not much of a Palladium fan, but I'm interested in the PFRPG for setting purposes.

I know someone wrote up a huge guide to the entire line, but I can't find it in the archives.

Help!

Dan is 30.
Adam is in his mid-20's.  John is in his early 20's.

No, that's awesome, man!  I'll put a Shameless Plug for here in our forums.

The only thing is that it's Meyer, not Myer.   Spriggan's spelling curse strikes again!

Thanks a lot, man!

Episode 63 is live!

If you could put this on the front page as offered, St. P, I'd be eternally grateful.

When I first joined the forums there my first thought was, "Wow, it's like TWG only I'm the local this time!"

I owe a lot of gaming to the FtB forums.

After my main group fell apart, I was able to join in another from folks I met there.  Plus they got me back into Warmachine/Hordes.

It's a lot like this place, only it's local for me.

It's best to just jump right into the FtB forums.  Start with the Introductions page to say hello and then hit up Gen. Discussion and Roleplaying games. Those are the most active forums.  Or, you can post your thoughts on various episodes in the Episodes forum.

The folks are pretty friendly overall.  Don't be shy.

It's kind of weird that in the span of a few days I actually have become a very minor internet celeb.  The FtB fanbase is about 2000 listeners and I've gotten quite a bit of feedback and PMs.  It's pretty cool.

That was originally a guest stint, but I impressed the hosts so much that I got invited on full time.

So I'll be on each episode from now on.  Expect my 'radio' voice to improve over the next few episodes.

Wow, that'd be awesome.

They release every Wednesday.  But there are Interview and Bonus Eps that drop randomly.

Thanks!

Hey guys!

I know I haven't been posting much lately, but I'm still around lurking and making sure you guys keep out of trouble.

I did want to pass along some good news you may be interested in.  I'm now one of the hosts of Fear the Boot, which is a gaming podcast based here in St. Louis.  Over the last year they've become pretty popular and are even up for an Ennie Award this year.  I'm pretty excited.  It's like taking The Nerdery to a whole new level.

For those interested, check it out here.  My debut episode is #62 and you can tell I'm a bit nervous.  Hope to have a bit more skill on the mic this week!

Cheers!

Role-Playing Games / Re: review: Burning Wheel Revised

I own Burning Wheel.  Reading it was like discovering roleplaying all over again.  There's a ton of great stuff there.

Pity I'll never run it.

See, I recently discovered Spirit of the Century/Fate 3.0 and it does everything cool I like about Burning Wheel but without all the complexity.  I'd advise a look.
