Yup it's my birthday on Saturday but I also have fun plans that day (not rifftrax, unfortunately). So Friday is the night for a Natherazim birthday bash! You guys wanted a time and I think we should say 9:00 pm Utah time (so 8 here or in Seattle) because of dinner with my parents and possibly opening presents. (yay!)  :D

I think we'll be doing a 70 instance run, stacer. Not that we want to leave you out! :( But that was what everyone seemed to want to do, and I need to get rep for a head enchant. I don't know for sure, though. But we have Draka tonight too, when I get to run with you and Izzy.

As for gifts, I'm accepting anything primal. lol jk  ;)

Brandon Sanderson / No longer Rumors of Brandon Jr.
« on: September 29, 2007, 10:39:30 PM »
Okay since I'm in California and out of the loop I'll just set it straight here, under it's own topic.

I heard a rumor that Mrs. EUOL is pregnant and that it's a boy. I also heard the baby was due in September. But I haven't heard anything else yet.

The slight fear of a miniature Brandon running around and wreaking havoc on the world  ;) propells me to ask if this is all true and when is the darling baby due and will there be pictures?

I love babies! Congrats you two! I hope we get details.  ;D

Yes, if it wasn't for the fact that EUOL has never played with any of us on WOW, I would feel like he had overheard one of our conversations on how ecstatic I was to find a purple cloak with int and stam for my darkly mysterious blood elf warlock that exactly matched her boots and really brought out her eyes!

Of course, Tage or Micah could've relayed it to him... (traitors  ;))

I LOVE matching my characters--troll, blood elf, night elf, human, drainei, even occasionally a gnome and a tauren.

But never a massive orc. They're just butt ugly. I'm not even touching THAT.

3 sinus infections in one week is less than pleasant.  :-\

I think I'm allergic to myself...

I think I'm finally coming for a visit to Provo/Salt Lake! It would be the second week of July--the week following the week when 4th of July is (for that I'll be with family in a cabin in Idaho). What, you want dates? Well, so do I, tough luck.  :P

Like my rumored visits before, this is liable to change. Part of it depends on if I can find friends to stay with, and if people are in town. Otherwise, I'll wait until August. So, we'll see.  ;)

Man, you even deleted your toons?  I could never do that.  I've let my account go inactive a couple of times, sometimes for four or five months, but I've always kept the toons and stuff.  Deleting the toons . . . would feel like murder to me.  Maybe I take this game too seriously.  Then again, I haven't been on lately--too much happening in real life.  I'm sure Heather and Micah are up to like lever 89 by now, and your character was probably right there with 'em.  Sigh.  But it was worth it--I got an editor to ask for my whole novel, so that has to be worth at LEAST 5 levels right there.

I'm only at level 47! (Though, that is two levels higher than Micah, lol.)

But having an editor ask for your whole novel--that is awesome Bryce! Much better than 5 levels--even 10!!!

Nessa's incredible responsible-adultness has given me the resolve to play less and write more. I'm also joining the TWG writing group with that intent, since there aren't people HERE I can do a writing group with, and the only person here who I discuss my writing with is currently not talking to me. :P

I do play more when I'm not feeling well. Thus, why I leveled twice yesterday. As I get more consistently healthy, I imagine I will only play a few nights a week in the evenings, since the weeks when I was doing well, that was exactly what I did. My desire to play WoW < My desire to get out and be active/social--when I'm healthy. However, I do consider WoW to be social. Only way I get to hang out with certain people who are far away! Which is why I doubt I'll give it up completely.

We'd love for you to catch up, Bryce! And Einah and Stacy too--I like to help when I can. But I surely do love my lvl 47 pimped out, combat-speced rogue. Lately she's wearing an awesome red-and-black-leather outfit, including an awesome helmet Ben made for me that shoots a huge fireball (instant cast, too!). When I put the fiery daggers on, Zeliot looks like a Flaming Rogue of Death! :D

I love WoW. I can limit, but I don't think I can let go. Not right now, at least. ;)

Writing Group / Re: Type & Gripe, Ink Meeting Coordination
« on: June 20, 2007, 10:58:13 PM »
Yes, I am interested. I could use the stability of a writing group to keep me more consistent in my novel writing. Plus, now that Nessa is leaving WoW (*sob*), it's a good way to stay in contact with her.

I won't be able to do it this week, because I scheduled the evening with a friend. But I'll know from now on to keep Wednesdays open. Would someone post the time again?

Also, Nessa and I have enjoyed the free program Ventrillo so that we can actually talk while we play WoW. The rest of the group might look into that--much more fun then IM!

My IM is [email protected]. I can use that email too, or I gave Nessa my yahoo email that I use, and she can give it to the rest of you.

I have a MG-YA fantasy novel I am working on that I'd like to add to the workshop. It is original, but feels along the vein of Gail Carson Levine's Ella Enchanted or Fairest and Shannon Hale's books.

And I don't mind vampires. I'm working on my own dark fantasy on the side--my first anti-hero protagonist! ;)

See, I'll spend a ton of time away from TWG, and when I come back I'll see something like this. That totally makes me fall off my chair laughing.  ;D

You guys are hilarious. More! Want more funny!

Well, there's a rumor going around that we may have suceeded in bringing another to the dark side.

Stacer has signed up for the free 10-day trial! *Squeeeee*

So, I told her I'd post my main characters so she could add them to her friends. Here they are:

Zeliot (40 rogue)
Liliandra (30 priest)

Then, just in case, I started a new character to quest *with* stacer, so she won't be lonely, and because I wanted to give the warrior class a try. Her name is Shahari and she's a blue troll. I'll put that like the others so it won't be missed:

Shahari (2 warrior)

As for the rest of you--it's only a matter of time until WoW gets you...
Dung dung DUNG!!!!

Site News / Re: Rifftrax Party: June BBQ
« on: June 06, 2007, 01:25:08 AM »
Nessa, Nytwalker, and Tage all know this, but just to let the rest of you know, I will not be coming into town like I planned. Inflated gas prices are the main thing to blame. So, if you are devastated at once again not being able to have me *in person* at a Rifftrax party (as I am sure all of you are  ;)), get SE to send the Ninja Monkeys to take out the gas people.  :P

Anyway, point being that you all can have the party whenever you want!  :)

I love being a kick-butt rogue. And now I have a kick-butt undead horsie.  ;D

I feel this is the most appropriate section for this, but feel free to move it.

Squeee! Rarely is there something on the Internet that makes me excited enough to post about it anymore. But this looks soooo cooool! I didn't have any plans to return to Orlando, but now I'm going to have to, after this opens in 2009. I totally want to visit Hogwarts and walk around Diagon Alley!!!

Yes, I'm a HP fangirl. Or perhaps I'm just young at heart.  ;)

I had the mike in my possession. Then I left home without taking it with me.  :P

But I will still be on tonight. I'll just be listening, not talking, lol. And I will get the headset eventually. Then the question will be whether or not I can make it work...

Sometime, I'd like to run Liliandra and Rainmace through BRD. It was a fun instance I haven't done very much. I know it's low for you higher guys, but the only way I'm going to level my priest is by playing her! It would be good for Fell, too, I think--he's in mid-20s, right?

I can commit to Monday for sure. Wednesday probably. Tuesday, eh...

Sorry I haven't been on much lately, especially in the evenings. For "not dating" me, Paul sure demands a lot of my time. There hasn't been a single day this last week that he hasn't called me, usually to hang out.  ::)  :P

Wow. This is so funny. My friend saw this on Friday night, and he absolutely hated it. He's an artist, film-maker, and writer--very much a storyteller. From a story-telling perspective, he said it was awful. Apparently the entire audience he was with hated it too. No one believed the characters or lines, and a few times people even said, "Oh, come on, you have to be kidding me!" From the way he described it, it sounded like a movie full of cliches and bad acting. He said they used every cheat in storytelling--amnesia, "chance" coincidences, sudden love triangles, and resurrecting a villian (Peter's uncle's killer--the fact that it became "really someone else" is irrelevant).

Now I may have to see it myself. Paul, my friend, loved both of the first movies. He was really looking forward to this. I didn't want to go on the opening night--he went with other people. So, it was a huge disappointment to him.

But you two really liked it. So, I'll have to see it and decide for myself. However, after hearing Paul's description, I'm going to wait for the DVD. It's not worth $9.50 to me to risk it--because everything he said were things I worried about just from the preview.
