I sent mine in by email, but wanted to share them here, too... maybe something to do while we await

"Finally! With this iPad,, I have more room in my pocket for my iPod!"
I swear I did mine before I saw your post :) I guess it was just one of those ideas that was going to get done...

And I guess this is eReader reborn... or Tam searching for a signal...?

These others all look awesome... I wish I had tried to tell more of a story with some of mine instead now.

Camel, I love the burning eBooks. I thought of that but decided against its practicality... looking at yours I guess you just laid some Kindles out and did a multiply or a screen blend and walked away? Nice application... I wish I could think of more of this stuff beforehand rather than after.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Elantris on Audible!!!!

You could just purchase it to buy, no membership plan or monthly fees needed if you'd like and opt out of getting any mail (they're a legit business, so they'll respect that).  But if you were ever interested in listening to audiobooks that's the place to go... they're incredible cheap if you're on one of the membership plans.

Brandon Sanderson / Elantris on Audible!!!!

And Elantris is on Audible.com... :) the Mistborn series would certainly serve me better right now, as I've already finished Elantris.  Still though, it's great news for fans of audiobooks.  Based on the sample reading it may still leave something to be desired, but it's certainly better than nothing.

Strangely I can hardly find any word of the existence an audio version beyond Audible.com.

Thank you all for your input, I went ahead and ordered him Mistborn.  If he's enticed to read others following I think he would consider an introduction to a new series to be just as much a gift as the book itself, so I'm not too concerned about it being any less of a present for not containing the complete experience.

Makes me wonder where it would have hit if the stores had actually ordered enough to begin with!

Brandon Sanderson / Mistborn or Elantris

Hi,
I've read Elantris and loved it, and I've got my bookshelf lined with the Mistborn trilogy ready to go but it's still a few weeks down the line in my reading list.
I'd like to get my brother-in-law a signed copy of one of the books for Christmas, but I'm curious which you all who have read both books would recommend as the best starting place for Brandon Sanderson reading... he's not adverse to a series or anything and he enjoys all of the popular fantasy fiction, WoT, Potter, LotR, etc...

So basically, if I'm only spending $25 on the guy, which is the way to go?  Elantris or Mistborn?
